I had a weird Wow moment!!
I have been coming to the board here for about a week. And I have liked all the post. Well I had a wow moment today and I have to tell somebody!!! (ok , everybody that will read this...LOL) I have never been able to cross my legs. Tonight I was at a friends and I was so relaxed I decided to try it and I could do it. I was so excited !!
The other wow moment that happened today was....I got a job. This is a huge thing for me. I had not worked in six years. One of my pre-surgery goals was that when I lost 100 pounds I would start looking for a job. Well when I was down 100 pounds ****ep saying that cause I still can't believe it), I started looking. Today a business called me and they offered me a job. So this is just another step to being a new and improved Michelle.

I can relate and rejoice in your happiness with a new job. I can feel your joy across the miles
I got a retail job about three years ago as I felt that nobody would hire me at my size (I was about 280lbs at the time) I told my husband and a few close friends that once I get my WLS and lose the weight I was going back into the medical field as I was a CNA in OR. I'm now working in an assistant living home and loving it. These eldery people are like my children
Lat night was my last day at my retail job. I walked out feeling free at last
I can now start focusing more on me and not two jobs all the time. It's going to start getting cooler here in PA and the kids are back to School on August 29th so I can start working out and taking the dogs for walks.

Michelle.
Those are super WOW moments. I love being able to cross my legs now. It is so much fun! Congratulations on the job. I think that is wonderful. It represents so much what this surgery is about - getting our lives back and being able to get out in the world and do things! I hope you enjoy your new job.
