Hi, my name is Michelle and I had my surgery December 2, 2004. I am always scared that I am eating too much food. Does anybody else ever feel that way? I would appreciate any advice you could give me.

Hello Michelle, I don't have an answer for you. I feel the same way. When I read posts about people not getting hungry I get so jealous. I wish I didn't get hungy but I do. How is your weight loss journey going? Diana -154

As of six weeks ago I had lost 95 pounds. That was my last doctors visit. But I am now off of insulin shots and for that reason only the surgery was worth it. Thank you for replying to my question and I am glad to hear I am not alone. Best wishes on your Journey also.

Hi Michelle, I have a feeling that we all go through the wondering if we are eating to much. Sometimes I think I am just pigging out.. ugghhh BUT if we stick to the WLS rules we will all be fine. I measure pretty much everything. (But sometimes I graze and then I really feel quilty. Trying to stop myself from doing that. lol) Hugs, I am sure you are doing great! Dear Michelle, The hunger returned for me a couple of months ago. I have 2 friends who are 5 years out from RNY. They both said the key to long term success is to count calories. So, I got on fitday.com. My goal is 150. Based on my current lifestyle it would take about 2000 calories per day to stay at a weight of 150. I am now 193. If I eat between 1500 and 1800 per day in small meals that have less than 300 cals and at least 20 grams of protein, I find that I am satisfied (not starving) and still running enough of a caloric deficit to loose about 2 pounds a week. It may take me longer to loose the weight, but I'm not in a race. I feel satisfied, strong, and healthy. Best of luck! Angie 302/193

I am hearing you and double it! WOW! About time somebody else said it! I look at what some people eat and think " how come I am hungry?" I have a hard time with people telling me they eat only 3 times a day and feel fine. I eat about 6-8 times a day! Compared to before it is nothing but compared to 3 months ago it is a lot. My Dr. says I am fine and that people are all different and as long as I am following the rules I will be fine. your sister in wls chandi 305/296/?

Hi Michelle, Sometimes it's hard to know. I would advice going to a wonderful site called fitday.com - it's a free service that allows you to keep track of everything you eat throughout the day. You may be surprised how much -or how little - you're actually eating. Vicki.
