Angie, It sounds like you have a good routine going. It is great that you take a day off each week. I think our bodies need the rest. I am trying to decide if I need a day of rest today or if my body is just trying to be lazy! Mary 302/202/1??

Hey Mary that is a GREAT idea! The only physical activity that I am doing is softball 3 times a week. Other than that I have only been doing toning on my batwings and stomach. Maybe if we do this it will actually challenge me to get out there and do more, Lord knows I need to. I have been at the same weight for over a month now, I guess play time is over and it's time to get back in gear. Michelle

Wow are you a beautiful women Mary. Congradulations on your exceptional wight loss, a hundred lbs gone. I am age 58, started my journey at 330 lbs. I have 2 arthritic knees that the doctors keep wanting to replace, bursitis in the ball of my foot b/w the 2nd and 3rd toes, and still some shortness of breath, but I am SOOOOO much healthier, happier, sexier, and thankful because of this surgery. I have now lost 98 lbs. I am at a plateau that has gone on for weeks and weeks. I know that I am melting cause my jewelry and clothes are fitting different every week. I was not able to exercise due to a rotator cuff injury and the foot bursitis. I went for 5 weeks of PT and the therapist helped me with some daily living skills and my balance. Many of us experience balance problems with rapid weigh loss and our bodies and inner ears need to adjust to this loss. I was also petrified of falling or getting down on the ground and not being able to get back up with a back hoe or help. So we practiced and practiced and now I can get up and down by myself. Very empowering. The therapist had me try a recumbant bike, the kind that you sit back and pedal. The ball of my foot does not get any pressure and my knees are not getting pounded like they did on the treadmill. So I am very excited because I can got to the gym and do some cardio workout on the bike and also do the 18 Nautilus machines and complete my track. Hopefully this increased good exercise will translate to the plateau braking and the scale moving on down. Best to all of us here on the December crew. Hurrah for us all. Monica

Monica, Thanks for the lovely compliment. While I haven't experienced some of the problems you have, I can certainly relate to how empowering it is to be able to get up and down from the floor without a back hoe or help! The ease of movement now is one of the most powerful aspects of losing weight. You are doing great with you workouts. I love reading your posts - your joy comes shining through! Mary 302/202/1??
