Monica's size 18 pants, Wow
Today I have on a pair of Liz Clabourne size 18 pants, lime green with yellow, white, and pink daisys. I got them at Marshalls for $11. I can't believe that they fit and look so nice on me. This is the first time in over 29 years that I am in a straight size, oh sure it is a W18, but hey I am a WOMAN and so much smaller than I was 8 months ago. Hurrah for me and all of us.
Scale has still not moved, but I can see and feel the differences in my body. Boy those lumps under the skin are something to feel. I have them in my arms and my upper legs, and buttox (Forest Gump). I bought a new watch and it fit my wrist. Another first after many years of having to have extensions put on watches or having to get a mans sized watch.
I am back to the gym. I went last night and did a 25 min workout on this bike, you sit back and there is less pressure on my knees and the ball of my left foot (this has been a very sore, problem area for over 8 weeks now, the podiatrist says I have no broken bones or spurs, but have bursitis or tendonitis b/w the big toe and the two middle toes. He built a special pad for the ball of my foot and I got a gel pad and both of these are helping with the pain and pressure). I tried out a bike at my PT and discovered that this gave me a good aerobic workout without the pressure or pounding of the treadmill. I also did a full rotation of all the nautilis equipment, worked up a sweat. You know the hardest exercise is just walking into the gym and I am recommitted myself to going daily. I need to kick start my weight loss so the scale shows it. I also want to reach the century club, I am now at -98 lbs and I have been there a long time. I understand plateaus and accept it (kinda), but I still have so much weight to lose and need to see the scales going down. I am also recommitting to more protein, extra water, less carbs, and less snaking in the afternoon. Oh I am having good snacks and need them to sustain me, but will limit portions and variety more.
Again, thankful for the surgery and my new wonderful, feeling better, breathing better, walking better, cleaning myself better, sex is better and better and better, exercising better, doing more things better LIFE.
Happy, thankful, appreciate so much the wonderful support and friendship that is here, I am blessed and know it.
Love to you all,
Monica
