As an anti depression medication conusor, I wouldn't recommend zoloft. As with most anti depressants, it can cause severe depression and suicidal thoughts, it can also diminish your sex drive. Though the same can be said for most anti depressants, and it all depends on the person taking it. The most effective anti depressant I ever took was Effexor, the side effects were minimal, the only one I got was a decreased appetite, well, and loss of sex drive, but that only lasted for a few weeks.

Hi Brenda, I take Effexor XR 150 mg. Zoloft did nothing for me. I have no problems at all with the effexor- I just take the top half off of the capsule and pour the little pellets onto my tounge (is that how you spell it?) anyway, I pour it into my mouth and take a drink of water. No problem. No stomach upset or anything. It has been a life saver for me. Oh, and it only took about 2 weeks for me to see a very big change in my mood and depression. Hope this helps.
