Need some help please! :(
Some of you might know that I had recently had my gallbladder taken out last monday. Well Saturday My Sister who is a RN came over and took me back to the hospital. I am dehydrated, weak, and very Malnutrioned they more and less told me that If i don't start Eating they will give me a feeding tube? I feal so tired like I have the flu and I am just so depressed, and I am so tired of feeling like crap! I thought that I was eating enough then i guess i realized that I have not. I think this pouch has shrunk some Because every time I eat any type of meat I feal like throwing it up! also they said that my liver is at a 3? which should be a 5 which means that my body has no reserve of protein so it is eating off of my organs? I still have some more weight to lose, but I need some help with some ideas of what i can eat that is good in protein and please say something besides Chicken) YUK! LOl I am tired of chicken. I don't mean to wine but my husband is a jerk and I feal really scared right now! Like what did I get myself into? Thanks! Heather Sizemore

I hope your feeling a little better. You need to take care of yourself.
How about cottage cheese and yogurt. Kroger has a carb-master
brand yogurt that has 12 proteins. I don't know if you can handle
beef jerky but it's full of protein. I also like Q-Smart bars, they have
10 proteins. The tuna fish lunch kit that comes with crackers and
low fat mayo and relish has 20 proteins.

I'm so sorry that your having such a tough time with all of this. Hey I just wanted to tell you that I also had problems with meat for the longest time till I realized that I was trying to take to big of bites and not chewing well enough. So now I'm taking really little bites and chewing like crazy and it is working for me, tonight I was able to eat 3 oz. of hamburger. Have you tried taco meat, it saved me, or maybe chili. Just keep on trying different things and hopefully it will get better. Also are you doing protein shakes at this time? You should probably be doing 2-3 a day if you are that low. Loni, The problem That I am having is that I have to make myself Eat! I feal so bad and I know if I don't force myself to eat I will have more problems I will go back and do the Protein shakes I will crame them down my throat!
