I can't believe how much the maternal instincts are flaring in me... DH and I have been married 8 years, but have never tried. We were holding out until we were stable in our careers, we knew we were happy in our location (Fl) and my health was better (thanks to Dr. Freeman - it is much better now!). I am only 7 1/2 months out, so the plan is not to start trying... but I just want to express out loud that I cannot wait to have children!!! Cheers! Laura -118

Nothing wrong with sharing your feelings with your family When the time comes you'll have baby or babies, depending on how many you want. Donna 338/195

Hello Laura, I know what your mean. I've been married 11 years. Hubby and I babysat my nephew Sunday night. (he's 18 months old). I loved seeing my husband with my nephew. I was washing my face and taking my medicine. I walked in the living room and he was rocking him to sleep. It just melted my heart. Diana

Hey Laura, we're almost the same age!!! I'll be 31 on Sat. (Jul. 30th) I actually got started early on the baby thing. I have 4 beautiful babies. I'm very content with my family and have no desire to have any more children. Good thing since DH had a vasectomy and I have 2 diseases - PCOS and Endometriosis- that cause infertility. Plus I've had an endometrial ablasion (permanent removal of the endometrial lining) and am on the verge of having a hysterectomy! But I LOVE babies. Even with my 4, I'm always the first one to volunteer to baby sit for everyone. I'm just drawn to them! Especially the brand new ones! Makes my heart melt to rub that sweet little bald head! I never thought that I would ever be at peace with knowing that I would never have another baby, but I am. I have those little feelings that creep up from time to time, but I know that God won't give you more than you can handle - and with 4; I have my hands full! They are truely a blessing. I send you all the best wishes for you when you feel the time is right and I'm sure you'll make a wonderful mommy! Good Luck! Jennifer -90 lbs

Dear Laura, We are in the same boat. My PCOS has kept us from successfully carrying a pregnancy to term. We hope to start just after my 1-year mark due to my being a geriatric mom (I'll be 39 at that time). You may want to check out the pregnany post WLS page through OH. Best of luck! Angie 302/198

Laura, You don't have to start trying - but nothing wrong with practicing! Practice makes perfect! Have fun "not trying"! Candy 266/167/1?? -99

I hope you make your dreams come true. Children are a blessing. Mine is all grown up now, but I am having my third grandchild this November. They are all blessings. Best wishes, Karen G -86

I can so relate... I had clinical infertility in my first marriage and it seems I do in this one too - though I haven't pursued it medically like I did before. There's nothing more in the world that I want more than to have a baby. I hope both of our dreams come true in the future.
