Old Habits
Hi Brenda,
You are not alone, there seems to be a number of us posting the same issues. I'm doing horrible, I've been eating sweets, like crazy, back into my old horrible habit. I'm so embarrassed, when people comment on my weight loss, I don't feel like I deserve their compliments. Frankly, when I look in the mirror, I see the same morbidly obese person. What can we do to get back on track? I take my vitamins amd supplements daily, and drink 1 protein shake everyday. I need help too...

Knowing that your pouch can still only hold like a cup of food at the most, we all know that 3 cups of food per day is not enough. I'm having to keep a food diary again cuz I got so slack about protein and not eating enough. Try keeping a record for a couple days of protein, fluids, and calorie count and judge for yourself if that is enough food and we both know, if we don't eat enough, our bodies will conserve and not lose weight. I never feel hungry since surgery so I've decided to watch the clock more strictly and I eat something at least every 3 hours for 5 meals a day. My new favorite meal/snack is Tiger Power cereal 1cup with 1/2 cup milk for total 10g protein.
Hi Brenda...Yes it is true , you are not alone. I myself have been eating 3 times a day two meals being my protien shakes and one being my meal. I make sure that I have been drinking more water in between my meals...This seems to help with the head hunger. There are days when if I feel like snacking I just grab a handfull of grape tomatoes...mmm good.
I also go for an extra walk and if I still feel hungry...Only then will I go for some extra protien. I feel that as long as you make choices that are healthy and not sabotage yourself with the fats and sugars you will do just fine and continue to lose more weight.
Just remember Brenda you are not alone...We all have haabits that are hard to break...if you do bad 1 day just do better the next and so on.
