Does anyone else have no problem eating all the wrong foods? I have no problem with sugar. This really really scares me. Of course I can't eat as much as I used to but I was really hoping to have a bad reaction to sugar. Instead I have a bad reaction to some pork products and different types of cooked chicken.I know I am probably looking into this too deep this soon, but what happens in a few years and I am able to eat anything. That is what got me in trouble in the first place. I keep having dreams about me eating non stop. Small meals all day long. I think it is because I am afraid that I am eating too many times a day. I am going to call my nutritionist today and find out what she has to say. Sorry I jsut wanted to share my fears with someone who may understand.

I think many of us are having the same fears! I too can ate sugar
But I do only eat a bite or 2 and quit. Pre surgery days I would just eat until I was sick sometimes! So sad.
I think something that is very important is realizing what you are doing. Be aware of what you are eating everyday!! Keep a journal if need be.
We have a wonderful tool. A tool is all it is though. WE have to take personal control of ourselves. Time is now. We have come too far to go back to our old ways!!

I am having the same problem. I have been eating like a pig the last week with no problems at all. I gained 2 pounds and it has really got me freaked out. I feel like I am going back to the old ways and there is nothing to stop me now. I need to get control of this now though because I don't want to be a big failure.
Good luck!

I am dealing with some of these same fears too... However, I know that I am eating nowhere near what I was eating before surgery, and I still have the tool to help when I do feel like I am eating too much. I'm just glad I can finally feel full, so that I know when I have had way too much... or when I am getting to that point. And sometimes that is less than a cup of food, sometimes it is over a cup. I guess it just depends on the density of what I am eating. I also guess the plateau I am on makes these fears a little more realistic as well... I have got to get back to more of the basics again as well.... We'll all get there though... I have confidence in us all!!!!!

I have some dumping signs. If I eat to much chocolate I get kind of short of breath and will get the runs really bad and spend sometime on the Sometimes I feel light headed but other wise I can eat sugar. I think a lot of people don't suffer from dumping.
I'm trying to snack on good things like pork rinds and Beef Jerky.

I too am not exempt from sugar....Is it a lie, bc i only get a little "drunk" feeling, nothing makes my vomit/diarhea ever!!!! I really can eat whatever. thank God for the tool...and the fact i have made a new pact with myself to eat/drink a salad, protein shake everyday...to keep honeyroasted peanuts cashews and fat free pringles out of my mouth....I have NEVER liked snacks.....ONly good food,,,,now what the *bleep* is up with that.
ok we all must be feeling some form of this.

Hi WLS sister,
I'm feeling the exact way. I can eat anything. Although it isn't near the amount but I'm grazing most days. Yesterday I ate a peanut butter cookie and a oatmeal raisin cookie, then before bed I ate a chocolate zinger. I feel so guilty and I feel like a failure, especially when I've only lost 77 pounds. I've been this exact weight for the entire month on June. I would like to know what your nutritionist says. I'm too embarrassed to call my surgeon's office.
