WOW Moment!!!
Well, it's my turn for a wow moment... But this one isn't for buying clothes, or what new size I can get into, but instead, something that I was able to do.
I am having a Garage Sale this weekend, and in preparing for it, I was unable to get my regular yard guy to come and mow for me. My lawn mower broke a few weeks ago, so I had to borrow a friends mower. That was the first challenge... getting it up the huge hill in her back yard, and getting it in the trunk of my car. But my mom and I managed to get that part done fairly easily.
The WOW moment comes in that I actually got my yard mowed. And I did it. I guess part of understanding this is that I live on a huge corner lot, and have a really big yard, with the ditch from hell on the front of my yard. The ditch is 8 ft deep from the street to the bottom, and about 4 ft deep from the yard side down. Then on the far side of my driveway, there is another ditch (french drain). The last time I attempted to mow the yard, I could only make about 3 passes, and would have to sit down to rest, feeling like I was about to pass out or have a heart attack, with shortness of breath so bad that it would take nearly an hour to recover... this would take me nearly all day to mow. Well, last night I got it all done in less than 2 hours, and with only 1 break in the middle. My mom even came out and sat on the front porch and watched me mow. I think she was afraid that I would fall out on her or something. And quite frankly, tht fear was in my mind as well, but I did it, and with the exception of nearly losing the lawn mower, and almost falling in the ditch once, I did great.
It still amazes me what 6 months and 96 lbs has done for me... I am so thankful for the opportunity to have had this surgery, and the new lease on life it has allowed me to have!!!
Just wanted to share...

Susan,
Isnt' this awesome to have these wonderful experiences. I also have been helping with the yard work and I can't believe I have not died out there. I could never have done it before. And you know what keeps me going when I"m doing it is the amount of calories that you burn while you are doing that, I was amazed.
Have a great day Girl, you deserve it.
Take care,
