JUNE 21,2005 6 MONTHS - LOST 84 POUNDS ~~~~~~ Well this is a kinda exciting update for me, I finally hit my first goal which was to be under 200 pds.. yahoo yippee!!!! I woke up and the scale said 196 Im like, what so I jumped off and back on again and to see that number one first I was like thank you god for giving me the strength and courage to do what Ive done, although the surgery does indeed help you lose weight you also have to work with the surgery. I started at a size 28 pants and now I can fit into a size 16 here are a few exciting measurements before and after... Before surgery APRIL JUNE Right arm 16 15 14 BUST 42 1/2 42 1/2 MIDRIFF 38 37 1/2 WAIST 46 1/2 39 37 ABDOMEN 48 1/2 44 HIPS 55 1/2 49 46 THIGHS 29 27 CALF 16 16 It isnt all the measurements from before surgery but a lil gander I guess is better than none.. Before surgery my BMI was 46.6 - Morbidly obese now my BMI is 32.6 -Obese So Ive gone from Morbidly obese to severly obese now to Obese, than next is overweight than normal... Its really hard to determine what my goal weight is right now considering it has been sooooooo long since Ive been a normal weight, in my mind Id like to weigh 130 - 140 so if thats the case I need to lose 66-76 more pds depending on where I want to be, I dont think Im doing to bad since Im only 6 mths out and lost 84 pds, I should be able to get to my goal. My surgeon said that I am doing greattt and that in 6 mths I should be ready for my TT... ouchie... ---O T , Today is a off day for my family 4 years ago today my Aunt Pattie passed away from Lou Gehrigs disease it was so hard watching her pass, it took her so fast it was like 10 mths. Such a cruel, cruel disease. She will always remain in our hearts and our minds we still miss her so... SIGH ---- Well I really am thinking that I am going to need a tummy tuck, I dont think Im gonna let myself get this far and have this saggy tummy, uh , no..I honestly hope my thighs tighten up some or I just might be tempted to do those as well, now as far as the boobs, oh goodness ever seen a balloon deflating , oh yea gorgeous darling. So theres another one... who knows what time will tell I might just say , oh well!!!!!!!!!! I find myself getting addicted to butterflies since my mama calls me her butterfly, they are quite pretty... Well this is enough for now, GO PISTONS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Take care all, and peace out.... 12-16-04 May

Great job there May. Yes this surgery is amazing, but it is just a tool and we all must work daily to achieve our goals and a healthier long life. Who would have believed that we could come so far in just 6 months. Hurrah for us all. Monica age 57 330/239/1??....................healthier,happier,sexier

WOW. You are doing great. Congratulations. OT - I am having a melancholy day and should have stayed home from work. Today is my 14th wedding anniversary and I just can't get that off my mind. My husband passed away four years ago, just before our 10th anniversary. This day just hasn't gotten any easier for me. Many blessings... Karen G
