I don't know what has been wrong with me lately. I feel hungry all the time, and I don't know if its head hunger or what. It's really freaking me out because I have hit my second plateau (well I haven't lost weight in about a week and a half). I'll give you an example of what I've eaten today: B: 1oz of eggbeaters mixed with beans & ham. 1oz of mozzerella cheese - about 100 calories. S: Too many peanuts. I think I had about 250 calories worth. Second snack!!!!!!! 5 Quaker rice cakes (the mini kinds) - 46 calories Lunch - 2oz chicken, 1.5 oz of beans, a little bit of salad, and 5 potato chips, i think about 230 calories. Dinner - No idea. Probably chicken & beans. I need honest feedback. I don't want to screw this up! I am 6 months out and down 81lbs. I have 50lbs to go before goal.

I got very hungry for a few weeks and could not stop eating but now it has passed. This happened about 3 weeks ago. I snack off and on if I'm hungry as I can't eat large meals. Donna 338/211 -127

Hi Isabel.... According to your calorie intake, and after you have dinner, you are probably right on. I am doing between 800 and 1000 calories per day... My surgeon says between 1000 and 1200 calories per day. Some days I can get 800-1000, other days I can't. And occasionally I get even more. Don't stress too much... that can just cause your plateau to kep hanging on... Our bodies have to rest and catch up with our rapid weight loss. Susan

Isabel, Thanks for this post. I have noticed for the past couple of days also that I seem to be hungry all the time. I haven't had this problem since surgery and now all of a sudden I can't get full. I did try to eat good things like the new south beach diet cookies and bars but eating 3 in one day can't be good. I hope the other post on this message are right and it passes and soon because @ this rate the scales might start moving the wrong way. Deana

I'm so glad you sent this post. I've been doing the same. I feel so guilty. Before this surgery I would start gaining weight back by now. I am constantly waiting for the other "shoe to fall". I've just tried eating a full meal. With all my snacking I was cutting back on my meal and it was a bad cycle. Just like before "Do NOT skip a meal" keep up your good snacks (protien shakes , cheese, etc) It will pass and you can get back on track. We have been conditioned for the weight loss of before surgery. When we hit a plataeu usually what followed was weight gain. Now we have a tool to help us eat, a better way of living our life. Good Luck Tammy Lowery 300/272/198/?
