Well this has been the worst day Ive had in a long time. As you know my husband is in the Army and is deployed in Iraq. Well I just received a phone call that he suffered some type of Panic attack/Breakdown and is being sent back to the states. Yes Im thankful to know that he will be out of harms way, but Im not sure what type of harm there is for him emotionally. There is a possibility that he may be discharged from the service, thats his life. We just bought our first home and a new car and have three little ones and money and bills are a huge problem now as well. I dont know what to do. Just needed to tell someone. Jamie 334/240 still

Jamie, I usually just lurk here but your story touched my heart. I'm hoping that your husband having panic attacks just mean he can't be sent overseas anymore but he will be able to function here with counseling. I have panic attacks myself and for awhile I couldn't drive, but with medication and now getting counseling I'm hoping to get rid of whatever started them so I can be pill free. You have my and my understanding. Cat

Jamie, I don't know to much about the service, but you will be in our prayers and also your sweet hubby. Is there a contact person on the base? Is there some sort of counseler or chaplain? I really pray that he can get stateside duty and you and your family stay safe. Love and hugs, Judy

Jamie, I'm so sorry to hear about your husband and I'm also so glad that he is coming home. Just think about what our service men and women are going through over there, yeah there are going to be some problems. I hope and pray for your family that they don't discharge him and they try and give him some help that he needs. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you. Take care, Loni

very sorry to hear but about your husband. I will definatly pray for both of you. I won't pretend to know anything about panic attacks but I do know a lot of friends who have recently come back from Iraq. There is a lot going on over there and it wouldn't suprise me if more people come home with panic attacks. I am sure they will not just leave you two dry without fianances. That would be a horrible thing to do to someone who was willing to give his life for our country. I would hope they could place him at a desk for awhile and get him the treatment he needs. We are here if you need to just talk your sister in WLS Chandi 305/211/?

Hey Jamie, I'm sorry to hear about your husband. He will be fine. As I always say and believe "Everything happens for a reason". You have to put everything in Gods hands. Let the chips fall as they may!. I experienced a family emergency when my daughter was diagnosed with epilepsy. At that time my husband lost his job and I just resigned from work to be at home with my baby (Talk about bad timing). I was up to my neck in bills and facing eviction. Until one day a job opportunity opened for my husband and I decided to go back to school. If my daughter was not diagnosed with epilepsy I would have been at the same dead in job and I would not be able to futher my education. Also I would not have been able to get the gastric bypass surgery because the insurance I had during the time I was working. So you see when one door closes another door opens (I'm full of cliches). I will be praying for you and your family take care and be strong you are the glue that is going to hold your family together. Your surgery sister Annette
