Sorry to hear that BON BON. Seems like a lot of people have to have their Gallbladder removed after WLS. My doctor put me on pills for 6 months after surgery to avoid this. Knocking on wood I won't have to have mine remove. Donna hugging you close 338/217 -221

I hope NOBODY else has this problem. Sadly these Surgeons can't take it out unless it's medically necessary is what my surgeon told me. Donna 338/217 -121

I have not had my gall bladder out but I hear that it is not that bad of a recovery. I will pray for you. Just a curious question though- Did your Surgeon have you on pills for gall stone prevention? I have been taking them since the surgery and have a little longer to go. He told me that it is important to not forget them because Gall stones happen in so many people who have had stomach surgery. keep us in touch and let us know how you are doing! your sister in wls Chandi 305/211/?

Hi Bon Bon! Sorry to hear about your gallbladder. That is exactly why my surgeon removes his patients gallbladders at the time of WLS. He states that most obese people have gallstones or will develop them as they start losing weight, so to avoid additional surgery, he takes it out while you are already open. I know you hate the thought of another surgery, but I will keep you in my prayers that all goes well. I go for my 6-month bloodwork next week. I pray things are well with me!
