" Losing Hair "
Hey ann,
I am losing my hair also...however, If 'I look hard enough, I see traces of NEW HAIR . So I think there is hope. Ya know I think it is just a side effect of our bodies reaction to the surgery and sudden weight loss. I do know this, my hair loss is not as noticable on my lighter as it was on my natural brown. I was losing hair before surgery(before I lightened my hair) but this was due to low thyroid. So, I would say that you may start seeing some new hair come in before you reach goal. At least thats what I am hoping for.

Thanks Julie for your words of encouragement I also have a thyroid disorder too (20 years) and my hair was already thinning . I just hope it will grow back enough on the sides and I'll just wear a cute little afro. My best girl friend asked me what would I rather be "Fat or Ball" I said neither.........But There's always wigs! Thank you so much at least you've given me a little insight. I'am 56 and I feel great!
Ann
Your only as old as you feel and this WLS sure brings the youth out in us don't it?
I feel 20 years younger myself. So let's see what would that make me age wise OH YES, 25
We are like babies,Think about it. A baby starts off on milk, then soft foods and on to harder foods. What happens if you push the baby into eating something it's not ready for? It gets sick to it's stomach or burps it all back up and even gets gas. That's why I call it my baby pouch. Oh let's not forget the hiccups. I had lots of hiccups at first and still do if I drink right after eating.
