I'm going to cry - freaking out!

What in the world is going on with my hair?!?!? It keeps falling out in clumps, and luckily for me I started off with a lot of hair, but now I'm not so fortunate. I started taking the Essential Fatty Acid pill and some pills from GNC but its not stopping. I went to the beach this weekend and my scalp is burnt very badly. I'm really freaking out - I hope my hair comes back!!!!!!

I know exactly what you are feeling. I cringe everytime I see piles of hair in my hand. I was thinking about getting hair extensions or a wig until it stops. They say it stops around the 8th month... for all our sakes I hope that is true. Otherwise we'll have a bunch of gorgeous, skinny gals running around bald! Laura

I WAS TOLD BY SOMEONE TO GET SHAMMPO FROM HAIR DRESSER THAT IS SPECIALLY MADE TO STIMULATE HAIR GROWTH... IT IS USED WITH CANCER PAITENS... I THINK IT IS MADE BY NEXIUM.... I ALSO TAKE 3,000 MG OF BIOTIN... I WAS TOLD THAT HELPS STIMULATE HAIR GROWTH.... THAT IS ALL I KNOW... SO DON'T FREAK OUT... YOU KNOW IT WILL GROWN BACK!! BONBON

You are not alone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have lost tons... I too started with tons.. So its pretty ok right now. Hopefully it will stop soon... I dont know if I will make it to 8 months

I know exactly how you feel. The only good thing is that I wear my hair short anyway. I had decided to let it grow out, and then that's when the shedding started, so I got it cut off again. I heard it really nothing you can do about it when it starts, but that it will grow back in longer and stronger. Bald, I mean, Best wishes to us all!!!!

Isabel, I've been using Nioxin shampoo since before my surgery. I notice the days I don't use it I have more of a problem with losing hair. My surgeon has assured me that it will come back. I'm going to Florida at the end of the month and I'm sure that I will also have a burnt scalp. Hang in there -it will all be worth it. hugs, Candy 266/184/1?? -81

I feel your pain! When I look in the mirror, I can see my scalp on the top of my head. Thankfully when I look close I see baby hairs coming in. But it sure is falling out at an alarming rate. My surgeon reassured me it would come back and I hope he is correct! Daisy G

My surgeon has us take essential fatty acids from GNC (natural brand) to try and prevent the hair loss from getting too bad. Even with this I have had some days where the comb was full after I ran it through my hair. Seems to be getting better now. Hope yours will too. Hang in there.

I am right there with you guys! I too can see my scalp and I started out with full wavy thick hair that everyone admired! The good part is that now everyone is so busy looking at the new me body that no one notices the lack of hair! The hair will grow back but the fat won't!! Chandi 305/212/?

I went to the drs today and he asked if I was having the hair fall out problem. I said yes and he said to up my protein 10 grams if that doesn't work it up it another 10 gram and if that doesn't work make a drs appt with my female dr or my endocrologiest to have hormone checked.
