Monica, a happy women
This morning I stepped on the scale and saw that I dropped 3 more pounds for a total of 88 lbs gone. Hurrah. So happy. I have not weighed this, 242, for almost 25 years.
I purchased some Neutragena Shimmer moisturizer yesterday at WalMart. This has great sparkle and shine. This product leaves your skin with a really nice glow and coverage that smooths out skin tones and leaves behind the gold shimmes. Very nice. One of the speakers at the NJ convention talked about making sure we mositurize our skin during the weight loss process. This helps the skin to shrink. Massaging the mositurizers or anti-cellulite creams helps by bringing blood to the surface and all 7 skin layers. This massage and increased blood flow makes the skin healthier and helps with the shrinking skin. The speaker a Hollywood makeup artist said that any brand of the anti-cellulite cream is good to use and that these products do good things.
I love to sparkle, such fun for a 57 year old shrinking women. My DH can't get over my new love affair with makeup and girly girl stuff. I feel like a teenager, you go girl.
I have on my "tiny" extra sexy, black 5 pocket jeans that I got in January hoping that someday I would fit into them. Size 22, sleak and so nice. NO ELASTIC waist. I am so vain, I keep pranching to the women's room to look at myself in the mirror. I love what I see. I even went for a long walk about our medical campus and strutted my stuff. ME who rarely got up from her chair in her office.....ME who held off going to the rest room for as long as possible until it was almost too late ....ME would barely walk last October, November, and December. ME who tried to be invisible cause I was so ashamed of being so morbidly obese, strutting my stuff, hoping to be seen. Oh life of miracles, Oh life after WLS. Joy abounds.
Monica is a happier, healthier, sexier women. I am so thankful for this surgery and the new life it has given me. Delighted to share with the December 2004 crew. We are all successful and making great strides to reaching our goals. Hurrah for us all.

Monica,
You Go Girl! I think it is the best thing. I find myself finally enjoying going to the store to get clothes. I am still sticking with Walmart and the clearance rack, but Mon, you know what--I am having a BALL! I am very close to my goal. I am 25 pounds away from it. I have lost 79 pounds. I know we shouldn't be vain, and I know we FEEL so much better, but next month I am going to be 36 and I feel younger and better than I did at 26, so I am going to ride this "roller coaster" and enjoy it.
Thanks for inspiring me.
Love,
Fran
