NAUSEA!

I have been having waves of nausea on and off several times throughout the day. I especially feel sick after drinking any type of protein drink. This makes it so hard for me to continue drinking them knowing that I am going to feel sick afterwards. The majority of the day I am feeling miserable. Even with 80 pounds gone, feeling like this is not worth it. Anybody else having problems with nausea???? Brenda 283/203/??

Brenda, Sorry to hear you are experiencing this. I wish I could help, but it hasn't happened to me (not yet, anyway). Have you called your nutritionist and/or surgeon for advice? I hope it goes away for you!! Hugs, Christine 257 / 175 / 137

Brenda, I have not experienced any nausea. I am sorry that you are going through this. Please call your surgeon and your primary care doctor. This should not be occurring and you need to have this looked into. Monica

Brenda, Do you still have your gallbladder? I had to have mine taken out about 5 weeks after my surgery. At the time I was on pureed foods an just about to move on to real food. Anytime I would eat anything pureed or anything thicker than jello or broth, I would be nauseated. I never did throw up or anything, but I would have dry heaves. It ended up that my gallbladder had to come out. Since its been out, I have had no problems at all. If you still have your gallbladder, I would reccommend having it checked.

I was thinking the same thing. I called my surgeon's office and asked them to order a gallbladder ultrasound. They are going to schedule it and let me know when to go. The thing that upsets me is that when I had my pre-op testing done, they did a gallbladder ultrasound and the results were inconclusive and they could not rule out gallstones. I wish they would have done another study, that way I could have had it taken out when I had my WLS. I hate the thought of having another lap surgery, but I can't stand feeling like this either. Thanks for your reply!
