GallBladder trouble...anyone else have this trouble?

I am scheduled to have my gall Bladder removed this coming Monday. Anyone else have this happen after their WLS? I was having such terrible pains! They did an Ultra-sound and said there were gall stones and my gall bladder would have to come out. They do it laproscopic, and it is also done as an out patient. Crazy, huh? Go in the morning to have it done and leave later that afternoon! anyway, wish me luck! Have a good one everyone! Sooner fan

I haven't had any problems yet. My surgeon said my gallbladder looked fine during surgery. I hope you have a speedy recovery. Deana

I had my gallbladder out a year before wls. The pain of gall stones is HORRIBLE and I don't wi**** on anyone. It was actually a relief to have the surgery - cause that pain went away! Good luck on your upcoming procedure - you will do fine. Laura

I have not had that problem. However, My Dr. said that many people who have WLS end up with gall stones. He makes all his patients go on medicine to preventthem for the first 6 months post op. I am still on them. Good Luck!

My surgeon has me on pills also. I think all surgeons should put their wl patients on it. Donna 338/224 -114
