Doctors office has my OH journal in their chart???

So I found out through a fellow GB friend that my surgeons office is printing out our journals from this site and putting them in our charts. I find it creepy and extreme. Is this normal for them to do this???? I am deleting my journal because of this. Am I over reacting? I have personal stuff in there I would prefer him to not know. Is this just me?

I also think I would call the surgeons office to verify this info that you have recieved, and if it is true, I would tell them that they DO NOT have your permission to do this. And while it is kind of creepy, keep in mind that anyone, anywhere in the world has access to this website and can come online and read it. I try to keep that in the back of my mind, and if there is something I don't want to share with the world, I don't post it anywhere online. Susan

As the profile is a public access document, anyone is free to print it and use the information. When adding updates, keep this in mind. Only add what you would be willing to share with anyone. I would have no problem with my profile being kept with my medical records or posted for other patients to see. Karen G
