Update... I had a Stricture
Just got home from Birmingham... flight was terrible. Florida weather was rocky.
They knocked me out and then shoved a garden hose down my throat. Lovely! Good thing I was unconscious! The surgeon found the stricture - apparently the exit from the stomach pouch had shrunk to the size of a tip of a pin. (I have pictures - weird looking!) Thus, nothing could get through - or if it did, it took a long time. He put a balloon aparatus in there and blew it up - and now it is normal for a 5 month GB patient.
It was amazing, as soon as I slept off the drugs I felt great. I still have the dizziness and light feeling, but that will go away once I get my nutrtitional inbalances corrected. I haven't tried eating anything more than usual yet, but I will soon. After 5 months of constant vomiting, I am a little leery of trying new things.
I am happy to be home and very happy with the results. I just wish the doctors listened to me in cape canaveral hospital so I didn't have to fly to alabama to have this fixed.

Hi Laura/Kittcat Mom
I am so glad they found out what was making you up chuck. I am also so so happy that you are feeling better.
I am upset that your local hospital did not listen to you and take care of it there.
Hang in there, recoup, and relax and have a great summer

Laura,
I'm so glad they fixed it for you!!! I had a stricture 2 months post op. When my physician tried to dilate mine, my stricture ruptured. I ended up in ICU on a ventilator for 4 days!!!
But,now that mine is fixed, I feel great! I eat almost anything, just as long as I make sure to eat slowly and chew well.
Good luck!
