WOW MOMENT!!

LAST YEAR WHEN I WENT TO THE THEATER... IT WAS A WONDERFUL PERFORMANCE.... BUT I DID NOT FIT VERY WELL IN THE SEAT... I HAD TO SIT KIND OF SIDE WAYS AND ON THE EDGE... BASICLY I WAS EMBARRASED AND NOT AT ALL COMFORTABLE... WELL LAST NIGHT WE WENT AGAIN TO THE SAME THEATER.... AND GUESS WHAT... AS I SAT DOWN... I HELD MY BREATH JUST HOPING AND WOW I FIT.. I HAD ROOM TO SPARE... I GOT RIGHT UP AND MY HUSBAND SAID WHAT IS WRONG... AND I SAID I HAD TO TRY THAT AGAIN IT FELT SO GOOD.... WELL I MUST OF HAD TO GET UP AND ADJUST MY DRESS (HAHA) AT LEAST 3 MORE TIMES BEFORE THE PERFORMANCE... JUST SO I COULD SIT DOWN AGAIN.... IT WAS A WOW FEELING.... HAVE YOU HAD ANY GREAT WOW MOMENTS? BONBON

Hey Bon Bon... That is wonderful!!! And so good to know that from now on, you won't try to take the seats with you when you get up to leave... Thats how I feel anyway... My newest WOW MOMENT.... I got a gift card for mother's day and decided to use it to get a new summer outfit. I went into the store and finally picked out something I liked and took it home. It was a size 16. (I was in a 26/28 pre-op) Anyway, I brought it with me to wear yesterday after work and when I put it on, it was about too big for me. They had some of these same skorts in other colors, and I wanted to go back and but another one or two of them. I guess I will have to buy them in 14's. I haven't been able to wear a 14 since high school. And now I am actually back to tucking in my shirts instead of looking for shirts big enough to cover up my gut. Problem used to be not having them gape open across the chest... now it is filling the chest up... who would've ever thought that would be a problem!!! Keep up the great work! How about not worrying if the restaurant hostess seats you in a booth vs. a table with chairs? And getting in and out with ease? And comments like "I hardly recognized you" and "You're looking great" and "You look more beautiful everytime I see you". And trying to find something to wear in the closet that doesn't bag on you hiding your new and improved curves? Mowing your own yard for the first time in years saving money and providing an exercise alternative. Not huffing and puffing going up steps. Should I go on......???? I am so happy I chose this surgery. I'm down 87 pounds and hope to reach -100 by my 6 month checkup the end of June. It's not impossible! Thanks for all your posts although I don't answer much. Congratulations! I had a WOW moment just the other day. My husband gave me a gift certificate to go tanning for Mother's Day. I went in for the first time and asked the girl to explain the different beds to me. Now this girl was about 18 with the perfect little, tan body. I figured she was probably thinking I was a cow. But as she was explaining the beds to me she said, "the hi speed bed is a little smaller and more curved. Some larger people don't like it or people with back problems, but you would be fine." I think I almost passed out. After I regained some composure, I told her I would love to tan in that one and walked back there with a big old stupid smile on my face. Melissa

I love to hear about everyones WOW moments! Thanks for sharing them. I also went shopping with my friend and was trying on 16's she said get some 14's but I said no and continued to try on 16's until they all were too big. She said I Told you So Hard Head and went and got me some 14's and they fit awesome!!!! So after that I went home and got in my closet and pulled out my old 14 BLUE JEANS and they fit like a glove so I started pulling out all of my fat clothes to get rid of since the old ones fit again!! Cool... Understand what you mean... I was sitting at our Universities graduation the other day and was able to sit in the seat comfortably and also put my hands in my actual lap... not just on top of my tummy..... Its kinda funny how the little things make us all mushie inside!!!!! Jane 329/241 -88lbs 12/6/04
