6'ers Check-in
Hey all you December 6'ers! We are at the 5 month mark. Hope everyone is still losing and feeling great. Do you have a 6 month goal?
Mine is to either be at -125 pounds or at 275 lbs.
I am planning on seeing my mother and brother for the first time since surgery in June. I can hardly wait to see their reaction in person. They've seen pictures, but it isn't the same.
Also I will see my niece and nephew. I can't wait, because last summer I barely had energy to play with them. Now, I energy to spare. I am even looking forward to going swimming with them.
Let me hear from you! And keep on losing!

KRISTIN THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING FOR THE 6ERS.... I HAVE NOT DONE IT IN SEVERAL WEEKS.... MOSTLY BECAUSE NO ONE RESPONDED.... BUT I AM SO HAPPY YOU DID THIS..
IT WILL BE AWSOME FOR YOUR FAMILY TO SEE YOU... I AM SO EXCITED FOR YOU!! SO I AM DOING THE HAPPY DANCE!!
I AM DOING GOOD I AM DOWN -92 AND LOVING EVERY MINUTE OF IT... I HAD A GOAL OF -100 BY MAY 20TH BECAUSE THAT IS MY ANIV., BUT I AM STALLED AGAIN.. SMILE I LOSE AND STALL LOSE AND STALL.... BUT HEY THAT IS OKAY I KEEP LOSING... SMILE... I STILL HAVE TIME AND WHO KNOWS IT MIGHT HAPPEN... AND IF IT DOESN'T.. IT WILL EVENTUALLY!!
I ALSO AM EXCITED BECAUSE I WILL SEE MY SON MAY 29 FOR THE FIRST TIME IN ONE YEAR. THE LAST TIME WE WERE TOGETHER WAS VACATION IN MAY 2004.... AND I SURE COULD NOT DO TO MUCH... I THINK HE WILL BE VERY SURPRISED!! HE KNOWS ABOUT THE SURGERY AND MY LOSING BUT I DON'T THINK HE HAS ANY IDEA WHAT AN IMPACT 92 LBS MAKES ON A BODY.... AND THE DAY HE FLIES IN.... MY HUSBAND IS WORKING SO I GET TO PICK HIM UP AT THE AIRPORT ALL MY SELF... SO I WILL GET ALL THAT TIME WITH HIM.... OH I CAN'T WAIT!!!
I HAVE UPED MY EXERSICE A LITTLE I AM TRYING TO DO 5 DAYS A WEEK.. A LITTLE HARD SOMETIMES (I HAVE MS) BUT M.W.F. I AM RIDING MY STATIONARY BIKE IN THE MORNING BEFORE I GO TO WORK... ABOUT 20 MIN. THEN T.T. I WALK AFTER WORK ABOUT 1 AND 1/2 MILES.
MY CALORIES ARE STAYING BETWEEN 700 AND 900 A DAY... I AM GETTING BETWEEN 70 AND 90GR PROTEIN... ALWAYS KEEP CARBS BELOW 50GR. AND DRINK AT LEAST 64OZ WATER THEN A CUP OR TWO OF DECAF COFFE AND SF HOT CHOCOLATE.
WELL I DIDN'T MEAN TO WRITE A BOOK... BUT WE HAVEN'T UPDATED ON THE 6ERS LATELY SO I THOUGHT I WOULD FILL IN THE VOID.
HAVE A GREAT DAY!!

Hello Kirstin and other 6'er.
I think that we are all doing very well indeed. The entire December crew is right on track and we share, laugh, cry, and learn from each other.
I am stalled at 250, an 80 lb loss. I am very happy and I am enjoying my new life so. I have more energy and stamina. I have entire days that I can walk without my cane. My daily medications are less, my thyroid is working better and my blood sugars are right on track.
I had hoped to lose 100 lbs by June 15th my 6 month check up with the weight management doctors, but with this 2 week plateau I doubt it and the is OK.
Each day I am thankful for his journey and I am truly a happy women. Small joys enter my life daily. Silly joys like finding clothes that fit at Walmart and Target, what fun. I have enjoyed giving most of my clothes to the Salvation Army and hope that some large sized women find and love these clothes like I did. I have to dress for business each day and I had a large collection of size 30/32 clothes from the Avenue and Lane Bryant. A small fortune indeed.
Have a good Mothers Day all and revel in the daily experiences we share as we melt away. I am going to the NJ convention and will share what I see and learn.
Love, Monica

330/250/1??
Five months, can you belive it. Time flies when your having fun. And I don't know about you guys, but it has been a wonderful journey. I understand about the having energy. I have been waiting to get on the trampoline with my neices. It seems like everytime they are home I have a ton of things to do that take me away from them.
My ex lives in the town where my doctor is and I did not tell him I was having surgery eventhough I saw him several times when I went down pre-op. I have decided to wait until my year appointment in December to see him. It will be great!!!!! Can't wait to see his reaction.
My goal for six months out is 100 lbs. I only count what I weigh on fridays eventhough sometimes I sneek a peek during the week. On sunday I weighed 239, which is down 90 lbs, so I have just under a month to loose about 15 lbs... since they wont let me weigh in my skivies. If I lost 20 that would be great so that I have a nice cusion...
YOU HAVE DONE GREAT!!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!

-88 lbs 12/6/04
This is the first time I have posted on the 6er's check in. I am 5' 7" tall and I started at 238 and now weigh 151. So that is -87 pounds. WooHoo. I use to be soooo lazy and now I cannot even sit for an hour to watch a TV show. I TIVO everything and start and stop. I can't sit still.
I read everyone's posts and it sounds like everyone is doing great. I have a hard time getting in all the liquids. My doctor does not have any special diets because he says that you have dieted your entire life. I have and they suggest to change your eating habits. I won't lie...I sometimes cheat (just a taste or two), but I never binge on sweets like I use to. I tummy doesn't tolerate bread very well. It has to be toasted hard (I never eat white processed bread).
I am very greatful that I had this surgery and love my new active life. I have sooo much fun.
Keep up the good posts. I love reading them.

Hello to all of my fellow 6'ers! I'm doing well, and glad to hear everyone else is too. My only problem really is hairloss(still) and constipation, but other than that great, oh... and the hanging skin is AWFUL.
Can you believe it's already been 5 mo?
Well congrats to everyone!
Love you all
