Eating Too Much?

Okay, I latched on to the Lean Cuisines for lunch a while ago, because they were easy and portable. With the low-carb craze, they now have several that are just meat and veg, which is what I'm supposed to be eating. I couldn't eat all of one, and I had to cut the "bite size" pieces up, but it was an easy solution for quick lunches. But then I was eating more of it... and then finishing them. Am I eating too much? I'm still losing, but I don't want to stretch my pouch and end up in the same place again.

I frequently eat one of the South Beach meals for lunch. These have healthy portions of protein, good veggies, and some have nice whole grain items. I also consume the Smart Ones low carb meals. The problem (to my mind) about the Lean Cuisine dinners, including the low carb ones, is that they don't have enough protein in them and they are usually drowning in sauce (which is mostly liquid). Most Lean Cuisine meals have less than 20 grams of protein in each meal (3 oz = 21 g), which is not too much for one meal. Sue O.

I think we're all starting to eat larger portions. At least your not eating big portions of bad things. I can eat a piece of pizza. I don't do it all the time, but when I think that I used to eat an entire large pizza and now I'm just eating one piece - that's pretty good. Don't worry. This is normal.

I agree about quantities. I can eat a whole Wendy's chili with no problem now! I think that the more liquidy, the more we can eat of something. If we had to eat a piece of real chicken, for instance, I doubt it would be so much. But it does make it harder to control yourself, if you prefer softer things anyway! Personally, I could eat a pound of cheese, if I let myself! ~~ Leslie
