B12 Sublingual 5,000 v. B12 Shots (Got a Story to Tell)?

This can be a confusing topic. I recently switched from the sublinguals to the shots. Someone "above" asked why sublinguals... The part of our stomachs (for RNY patients) that can process B12 (called the intrinsic factor) is in the part of the stomach we no longer use (called the remnant stomach). So, I was taking my sublingual B12 everyday cuz my dietician said "its water soluble, you can take it every day and you just pee out what you don't need". Well, I was doing that but when I went to the Dr. she tested my B12 level and it was 20,000! Normal is about 1000 I think she said (and she acted aggravated with me). So, evidently I didn't "pee the excess out" if my level was 20,000. So, I switched to the shot. I do feel fatigued a lot so I may do the 1 sublingual a week like Vera mentioned in addition to the shot. J.J. Lap RNY 12/21/04 311/280/218/1-anything! No complications, VERY happy!
