Hi Ron, I can eat anything. However, I stay away from all pasta and bread. They are not allowed into my diet. I eat a lot of grilled or broiled seafood. I love vegetables. Grilled asparagus has become my absolute favorite. I love chicken salad. I've found on the weekend that I forget to eat. But, during the week, at work, I tend to snack at my desk all day. That is not a good thing so I try to snack on sunflower seeds or fill myself with as much water as possible. But all in all - I can eat anything - I just eat smaller portions. Hi Ron and the December crew. I can eat just about anything. I am lucky cause my DH does all the cooking and he cooks with my needs first. I must be very careful with any foods grilled that become too grilled or blackened. I discovered that if I ate the blackened outside of grilled foods, they come up hard and fast....the new pouch will not tolerate them. So I examine my grilled foods carefully. I love good French onion soup with cheese, eggs whole boiled, fried, scrambled, tuna or chix or egg salad (diced up celery, onions, made with lite Hellsman mayo), cheddar cheese sticks, goat gooda cheese (to die for), pepperoni, soy chips, Wendy's chilli and Ceaser side salad, nuts, sf pudding (Kozy Shack), sf jello, sf ff cool whip, ff gramham crackers, beef, chicken, pork, good quality well cooked Perri Italian sausages, meatloaf, hamburgers and good quality all beef hot dogs mashed potatoes (small amount), all veggies, small biscuit; occasionally, my fantastic Jay Robb's Whey protein powder, Hoods Simply Smart skim milk, Stouffers Mac and cheese, lean cusine products, great for lunch at work, I allow myself a can of sf, caffeine free diet coke now and then, drink tons of water all day and evening, just began having coffee again, one a day, Lite OJ, and the list goes on. I can not eat bacon, but thats ok. Fried foods are now off my Stupid Monica Trick list ( I learned very well not to give those foods to my pouch!!) Generally I am very lucky cause I can eat almost anything. I stay away from sugar and sweets; white carbs and worthless nutritionial food items (I know that cool whip is one of these items, but it does add a nice touch to jello, pudding and I know that the soda is another). I take my Opitfast vitamins, 4 a day. Happy I am and eating just fine. Hope that you all are eating fine too. My portion control is the palm of my hand. I purchased special pretty fine china salad plates for just my use. These smaller dishes help me make good portion control choices. Plus they are so pretty and just for me. So thanks for asking Ron and thank you December crew for sharing. Monica 12/06/04 330/254/1??

Hi, Im kinda new to this board partly because I didnt know it was here I usually stuck to the main board, but it is really nice to see people who had the surgery around the same time I did. So hello everyone. I can eat almost anything, but just not a lot of it. I havent really tested myself to bad with sugar and havent gotten sick on it, but if I eat more than 3grams of fat I get sick almost instantly. So I try to stay away from it. I have a problem with things to bring to work for lunch, so I usually get a side caesar salad from Wendys with fat free ranch that I bring from home, partly because Im too embarassed to ask them how much fat or sugar is in all of their dressings. for dinner I usually eat whatever everyone else is having except for fried foods. I eat a lot of fruit that doesnt bother me. Oh also I used to drink Juicy Juice after the surgery and hadnt had it for a while and i got sick on it twice I thought that was weird. Have a good night everyone

Hey, drunk from fruit? Ron, you love shrimp and popcicles.. your ladie is lucky to have such a cheap date! Everyone else is doing so well, and soon, I will try a few things on you guys list, and let you know how it turns out! You all are eating up some stuff. Seem like there was no surgery done here at all! I am not eating much, still. Only 1-2 meals per day, and I am full. They are small, plus a protein shake, water, tea and apple juice. My new list includes: Crackers (finally) Peanut butter Salad of all kinds (some stays down, some don't) grilled chicken (on the grill) apples (sliced on salad so good!) peanuts/nuts (various crunched up) various fruit (fresh cut in small pieces) Veggies (cut up fresh) Honey Turkey deli meat Various cheeses (thin sliced) rasins/crandberries (dried fruits) Salad again, and more salad various soup *tried chili once, was ok, will try more! Shrimp (great) Fish and more fish.... Mainly that is it. I still haven't eaten sweets or bread. I want to eat some spegetti, but not sure how it will stay down. Tomato sauce is too acidic. Any suggestions. I am not very hungry, but know when I want to eat. I have lost only -63, but I know I could do better with exercise and more calories. I love my clothes and am excited when shopping. Such a rush. I love it when I get the attention I so deserve, when I am lookin' special! God bless! Vera, Crew Encourager
