Two of my favorite things to eat are Beef Stew and Wendy's Chili (Ron you forgot to mention the Wendy's Chili you so love). I can eat just about anything in moderation. Not much seems to bother me. I just can't eat alot of it. I don't appear to dump on small amounts of sugar, but will on larger amounts. And anything that has a wee bit too much fat in it will tear my stomach up for days. Anyways, here is my list....
Wendy's Chili
Beef Stew
Boiled Shrimp
Deviled Eggs
Corned Beef Hash w/ grits
Tuna Salad
Chicken Salad
Pimento Cheese with Crackers
Any kind of meat w/ gravy (minus beef tips-they get stuck)
Salad with cheese and eggs
Egg Salad
Any well cooked veggie
Corned Beef and Cabbage
Oranges
Bananas
SF Popsickles
NAS Fudgesickles
Crystal Light Orange Sunriser
Adkins Advantage Protien Drinks (Chocolate Royale)
Seems like there is more, but it is too early in the morning to get my brain going....

You know Donna, it's funny you say that.... I get so tired of cooking now, and I loved it before surgery... It just seems so worthless to cook anymore. If it weren't for my 8 yr old, I probably wouldn't cook. When my mom comes to visit, I get her to cook my favorite stuff and we freeze it in small containers. There is alot of stuff I can cook as good as she does, but there are just some things that I can't get to taste as good as hers. About 2 months after surgery, I went to the freezer looking for something to cook, and ran across a container of beef stew she had made sometime before my surgery. I pulled it out and defrosted it and it was the best thing I had tasted since before surgery. I asked her to PLEASE make me some more the next time she visited so we could freeze some more. Now whenever she visits, I get her to make atleast 3 of my favorite foods from when I was growing up, and we freeze it. This way when I come home from work, and don't feel like cooking, I can just take a container or two out of the freezer, and not feel guilty about not cooking for my son.
I think tonight will be corned beef and cabbage, and smothered tators and onions.... Gotta stop at the store on the way home for a head of cabbage

Hey Ron,
Well I think I'm doing pretty good with eating right now. I do have good days and bad days still.
Yogurt
Cheese (sometimes and not alot at one time, makes me really sick)
Applesauce (Sugar Free)
Chicken
Hamburger
Ham
Turkey
Wendy's Chili
Brocolli/Cauliflower (cooked really well)
Eggs (finally)
Fruit Nectar protein shake w/crystal light
strawberries
You know I thought that I was eating more when I first read your post but when I really sit down and think about it there's not that much, maybe I need to start trying some more new things. Something to think about. Hope your having a great week Ron and everyone else.
Love you,
Loni
Good morning all!! Well I really can't make a list because I just try new things all the time.. I don't really get sick from anything as far as getting stuck but I do get sick from Sugar Alcohols.. So most of the sugar free candy sucks for me. I am in love with Corn on the Cob lately!!! I can eat just about anything that isn't too high in sugar. This though is unfortunate because I can also eat fried foods.. But with the fried foods comes the !! Get my drift...lol So I have had a bite here and there but nothing that will really hurt me. I had my first flat diet soda the other day.. It wasn't all that like I hoped it would be. In fact half is still in my fridge. I really like Eggs and Bacon if we go somewhere for breakfast. I eat a lot of SouthBeach diet things. I love the southwest chicken wraps. I eat about 3/4 of one for lunch and am full. If it's not a wrap its a protein shake that I eat/drink. If you are this far out and you know you are being good I don't see what it hurts to try new things.. If it makes me sick I know that I cant handle that certain food yet. I have maintained a continuous weight loss since I started at 273 and am now at 195. For 4 months post op I think -78 lbs is really good. I do a lot of walking and sculpting my body so that I can get rid of these wings.. Also if you do any comparison with me you must remember that I am only 25 and still have the ability to have my skin jump back and of course Im sure my metabolism has picked up also.. Good luck all and enjoy something every once in a great while jsut dont over do it because you are the only one that suffers for it!!
TTFN,
Michelle

I can eat pretty much anything now, except foods with sugar and I don't eat bread or pasta. But I eat VERY small amounts. (shrimp... medium shrimp I can eat about 2.5 before I am OVERLY stuffed)
