Does anyone out there have trouble eating eggs? I can't even take a bite without getting sick. How about lettuce...I can't eat it either, and I love salads. Just wondering if anyone else had this problem. Thanks, Julie Carver

Sorry Julie, I can eat eggs fine and am eating more hard boiled eggs than before surgery. Great source of protein. I also can eat and so enjoy salads. I do not eat as much salad as before WLS. Too much bulk I guess, but I try and eat some salad fixing each week. Monica

Julie, I had the same problem that you are having with eggs, but just recently am able to eat them with no problems at all so you might want to give it just a little bit longer. At first they just made me so sick I couldn't even stand it. Now I can eat salads with no problems at all, just not as much as I used to eat. Good luck. Hugs, Loni

Hi Julie, I still have trouble with scrambled eggs, but I can eat a fried egg (using Pam), or a boiled egg (deviled) with no problem. I also can eat a small amount of salad without problems too. When I started on salads, I would use the shredded lettuce for tacos that was already pre-bagged. About 1/2 cup of that with some shredded cheese, and hard boiled egg for the extra protien and a little bit of dressing and I was a happy camper. I am really enjoying salads now, where as before surgery they didn't agree with me. You might want to consider your salad dressing as what might be making you sick. Some have more sugar than others. Julie, For several months the thought of eggs made me sick. Try boiled eggs. I have just started eating them for breakfast each morning and they are great!!!!. Lettuce has not caused me any problems. Hope this helps some at least! Jane -84 lbs
