My Anniversary was on 4-21, 4 mo out

Sorry I could not write on 4-21. I have lost 62 pounds since surgery and 61 pounds before surgery. Here is the problem I developed Diarrhea 5 days ago and on the 4th day I vomited anything I tried to drink even water. I've since been drinking Pedialyte and as of today I still have the Diarrhea. In the middle of the night I had horrible stomach pains that doubled me over while trying to eliminate the Diarrhea. Do you all think this is a virus and it will pass? Should I attempt to eat soup today and keep drinking the Pedialyte? Any advise would be welcomed. It is Saturday so I can't call any do****il Monday. I am scared of the unknown and I don't want to start the stomach pains back again. What should I do until Monday? Mary, Congratulations on your loss so far you are doing great. I'm so happy for you and all you've lost. I just wanted to let you know that just this last week I had a couple of days that I went through the same thing and I thought it was just me but my husband also went through it so I think there must be a virus going around. Just in case though if your not feeling better by Monday I would definetely call your Dr. Take care, Loni

i'm going through the same exact thing. I'm on my 5th day of diareha. I lost my insurance, so i can't go to the doctors about it.

It sure sounds like a virus, but then again it could be an obstruction, too. You should call your doctor first thing tomorrow morning, in any case. I can't believe that you can't call your doc on the weekend! Isn't there some emergency number you can call? I know that I have called my doctor on the weekend, and the answering service takes a message, and within 10 minutes a doctor who is 'on call' (not my own) gets back to me. You would think that for liability reasons alone, your doctor should have something like that set up! ~~ Leslie
