Call me crazy but I'm asking anyway...
Well hey there fellow December'ers!
This is my first time posting on this board, but I've spent alot of time reading your posts so I'm trusting you guys for !!
I have a bit to share before I get to my question. I work on a job with GREAT insurance and in the last year, about 11 people other than myself have had WLS. I am among the last 5 to have had surgery (12/27) and I have lost the least amount of weight (52#s) except for the 2 that are only 1 month out. Now, I know that everyone loses at different paces but I wonder if our surgeon did something to me that he didn't do to them or vice versa. I say that because when we talk and compare notes, I find that I have been truly blessed throughout this process because I've never been sick or have gone through dumping. I also find that I can tolerate alot more variety in my diet than the others. Where they are saying that they can't eat grease, or anything fatty, or anything fried, or anything with sugar in it, I'm standing there like, 'Why not?' I can eat all of that and then some. In fact, artificial sweetners make me sick and have since surgery. I try to have a lot of variety in my diet and have recently been paying ALOT of attention to my water, vitamin and protein intake. When I come across a site that someone mentions on a posts, I jot it down and check it out. I'm looking for some help in the arena of staying disciplined. My biggest challenge is getting the exercise in. How do you guys manage this while working full-time, dealing with your kids, helping with homework, preparing dinner, dealing with your spouse, running errands and whatever else the normal day may bring?! I've tried in the morning before work and while it makes me feel good, it seems to put me in a cramp for time. I'm only getting about 5 hours of sleep a night as it is. I try in the evening, but I have my kids with me most of the time so I want to find a place where they are safe. Please help me with this. I know that it starts with me, that's why I'm reaching out for advice.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts and time!!

Next time you see your surgeon ask him what's up or call and see if you can get in to see him.
I don't dump either, well not like some people say they dump. Depending on what I eat and how much I'll sometimes feel very tired and want to and I'll get the runs big time. So I mus****ch what I put into my mouth as far as sweets go.

Hi Donna
I am married with three children and very busy work schedule. I get my excise in by walking around the work place during lunch hour. At least four days a week when I get up in the morning I strenght and do my sit ups. You could take the children for a walk, play ball or dance around the house with children for about twenty minutes or so. I hope this will help you.

I begin work at 8a, but my day starts at 6a...get ready and spend about 45 minutes in the car to work. I have 4 kids at home (22 mo. to 16 yrs.) and my husband has a real funky work schedule. The two middle ones (both boys) are in baseball, and rarely have somthing scheduled at the same time in the same location. Yes, life is hectic, but I figured that I had this surgery for a reason and as much as I do to accommodate my family, they can certainly to accommodate me. So, I go to Curves three days a week right after work (unless I can squeeze a Saturday AM in there) and pick up my toddler daughter at 6p from my Mom's (she watches her). My in-laws take the other kids and get them to practice, games, etc. when I can't. My days are always long, but the weightloss makes it worth it. We just have to make time, and if we can't make it fit nicely, we cram it in there . I'm usually in bed by midnight at the latest, but can sometimes get the occational extra hour.
