Thank You!
A big thank you to everyone *****plied to my post about salads. I was overwhelmed by your responses.
I had a salad luncheon at work Thursday. There were only a few lettce based salads, most were pasta or fruit. I ended up not eating of the lettuce ones. Instead I ate a deviled egg, a little bit of chicken salad and a few bites of the tortellini salad I brought.
However, my husband picked up Outback Friday night. He got me a Ceasar salad with my dinner. I ate 4 bites last night with my protein. I am still alive. I didn't get blocked or backed up like my dietician said I would.
I was seriously considering switching dieticians, but I only have 1 other choice that reports back to my surgeon. I only have to go see her 2 more times, once in June and once in December. Then I will seek a new one closer to home if I need one anymore. Y'all are almost if not more knowledgeable than my current dietician.
Anyway...keep up the good work!

Everyone is different when it comes to WLS and food. You have to try different foods on your own and see how your pouch adjust
I always try new foods at home so if I do get sick I'm close to the toilet or close to my recliner. I have my days where something will agree with my pouch and then a week later the same food upsets my pouch.
Tonight was the first night I had steak but I cooked it outside on the grill and did not over cook it. It was kind of pink in the middle so it was soft and I was able to pull some small pieces off and chew it real well and it went down fine. Now if this steak gets a little dried out then forget it as my pouch will bring it right back up
