Ive seen many.....

Ive seen many posts that people take MOM for constipation. I hadnt had any problems with this until just lately and was wondering how often and how much to take? Oh yes and the stomach pain I was having was spasms caused by pain meds! Thanks for all your help! Thanks Jamie 334/260

Jamie , I would maybe call pcp to ask but I don't take that I take fiber pills,stool softners and miralax a prescription. I've had a lot of problems with constipation and it isn't something to ignore. If you don't have a bm by day 7 you should call dr. I went 14 days before going to dr. ..... I know stupid huh? I was near impaction. I never had a problem until after surgery, so I'm really pushing the water now. Well I didn't help you any but wanted to share my expierience. Kelly

Oh Jamie, I'm so glad you found out the reason for your stomach pain. You had us all worried! I see on the boards that alot of post-ops take Fibercon everyday. My only problem with constipation is when I take my iron supplements. I've had to take colace (with my surgeon's recommendation) a few times. It worked beautifully. Good luck! Karen - 76lbs

I take generic colace every day, 4 in the a.m. and 4 in the p.m., and then things move along nicely. Occasionally, things still get stuck so I then take one generic correctol. Hope this helps, Sue O.
