Do you find eating meals hard
I find it real hard to eat meals anymore since surgery. I nibble and that's it. Do others find it hard to sit down and eat meals? I just hate eating anymore and going out sucks!!!
I got out in my yard today and did some yard work and it felt good. Took my little 5 1/2 pound Yorkie for a nice little walk and I did great but my arthritis in my left knee was bothering me but nothing I could not handle A year ago this time I would make it out of my drive way and have to turn back because I was out of breath.

I know what you mean. I've gone out several times with friends, and I usually get an appetizer, or a meal that I put most of into a carryout box. Then I TRY to eat very slowly, but of course I'm full long before anyone else is done! Also, when I eat with others I tend to eat faster, since they are, too. I actually still enjoy the taste of food, just not much of it! My eyes are much bigger than my stomach. I'm becoming a 'grazer', which I never was before.

I never can finish an appetizer and if I take food home I can't stand to eat lift overs anymore. The food don't taste that good the second time around.
My girlfriend told me I eat to fast and don't enjoy my food. My pouch just don't need that much food anymore so I eat a mouthful, maybe two and I'm done and I think to her I'm eating to fast. She said I should eat slowly and eat my food over a half an hour period.
The good thing about having WLS is that you save on Tons of money as you don't eat that much

Gee Donna, I can't say that I am having an eating problem. I structure my day to include the food, water, and vitamin intake that my nutritionist planned for me. During my work week I find eating my meals no problem. I plan what I am going to have for breakfast, lunch, and snakes. My DH plans dinner. On weekends the structure can and usually does break down. I must remember to eat and drink all my water. I sometimes don't feel hungry, but I know to keep myself from getting run down or badly anemic later on I must take in nutrition to fuel my muscles and break down the fat. So much of this weight loss journey is mental. To achieve healthier weights we really need to plan and force ourselves to get our food/fuel in.
