what should me weight be??
Hey there Donna.....
I woud say that your body will stop when it feels it is at a good weight...
I also think it depends on your build what would look "too skinny". I am 5'6 and (I used to say this more before surgery) built like a line backer. No really, I am a big structured girl ... personally now, I call it curvy! My doc has a goal for me of 175.
That number would be different if I were a petitly built person.
You and I and everyone else will find the weight that is right for us... hang in there.

I would suggest you discuss this with your doctor. I had the same question a few weeks ago. My goal weight was 145 and I discussed it with my doctors PA on my last visit. They said they do not usually set goal weights. But, the PA said that 145 was too small for my height and body structure. I am 5'5" and medium build. She said I should not go below 150. I told her I was 145 in my 20's for a few years. She said that there is not way that I could expect to be the same weight as I was in my 20's. I am currently at 193.
I hope this helps. I try not discussing this with my friends. I find many of them do not understand and I get more confused.
Weight and BMI are not the best measures of what is "healthy". Body fat percentage is. That will allow for the extra muscle we are all hopefully putting on in our workouts and the extra skin that will emerge during this journey. You can get a pretty good estimate of body fat by using a scale that measures body fat in addition to weight (Tanita--about $100). If you want a more accurate measure, contact your local health club or medical school's division of metabolism for resources.
