Left Behind...

Guys, I don't like to whine, or complain, but I am feeling so left behind. I see so many, just about all, have lost more than 60 pounds, and some close to 100, or even at 100. I am still teetering between 51 & 54, and not much else. Don't get me wrong, I am so proud of you all, and even more happy for Kelly and Ron, for reaching their 100# goals. If anyone out there is reading me... I am at a loss. I feel so left behind, until I can't figure it out. I have increased my protein, my water and food (ok, just 1 day now), and I STILL exercise, although I am back at work. Please, if anyone has overcome this plateu thing (sp), please help me out here, give me some encouragement, and advice, and help, help, help a sista out! I love you all, and it pains me to come here and not have better news, but we are supposed to stick together through the good, bad and ugly! So, if anyone cares (and I know you all do), hit me up with some encouragement, prayers, and some ADVISE! Help me get out of these numbers... if you can. Vera, Crew Encourager (needing encouragement)!

YOU EAT ALL THAT Only messing with you You keep your body burning the flame to melt those pounds. A lot of people think if you don't eat you drop the pounds. WRONG!! It's like feeding a fire. If you don't feed it the fire goes out. Same with the weight. That's why I eat like a pig for a couple of days before I drop a few more pounds. Donna 338/244 -94

Unfortunately, I can't give you any brilliant ideas, but I wanted you to know you are not alone. I've lost 59 pounds and been stuck there for almost 3 weeks now. I'm about to lose my mind too. I'm happy for everyone else, but I get depressed reading about how well they are doing. We just have to stick with it and hopefully we'll catch up sometime. Melissa

Hi Vera, Don't be so down on yourself. I have been stuck on many a plateau, just broke the last one. I know that when I am stuck, it is because I am not taking in enough calories. I usually have a protein shake every morning, made with 1 scoop of unjury chocolate powder, one scoop of sanalac powdered milk, and 1 tablespoon of swiss miss hot chocolate powder. This is a total of 31g of protein. Then for lunch I have one cheese stick and 2 ounces of cashews (YUM). For supper, some meat and a few cucumber slices, and then another protein shake before bed. In between I drink water and crystal light. When I keep this up for a few days, then the plateau is broken. You will get there, just keep your chin up. Plateaus suck, but I always try to remember that if my weight loss were to stop right now, it would all still be worth it because I feel so much better now than where I was. We all you, Cheryl

Vera, Oh I think you are doing great and I think also the more you weigh at time of surgery the more you lose. I weighed 415 lbs before surgery, I think thats why its coming off faster because i was alot bigger, and as for our Ron, men just have a way faster metabolism, they lose faster regardless. So Iknow it's hard not to compare each other, I do it too. So I know you are going to break through. When you do go weigh yourself, I would use the sme scale, same clothes, same time, every week, and also take measurements, you could be losing inches and not the lbs. I am here for you, and praying for this platau to break now in the name of Jesus! lots of love Kelly

Vera - everyone loses at their own pace. This is actually a good thing. Slow and steady will still provide you with reaching your goals. You may even benefit from less loose skin issues, as your skin will have more time to catch up with the weight loss. Look at the positive aspects in your progress. 51 pounds is still a great loss and you should be patting yourself on the back !!!! Wear it proudly. You are doing everything right and you are such an inspiration to others. Bless You. Karen G
