losing my hair
Oh yes, I am loosing my hair too. It started about 4 weeks ago and each day is a scary sight. I went and had my hair cut to relieve the stress on the roots of long hair. I do not wa**** every day. I purchased some olive oil products for extra moisture and care. I do not bru**** only use my fingers to fluff and style. I am gentle with my head and my hair. With all the care I still find hair everywhere, in the shower, in the sink, on my clothes, on my pillow, and on the floor. I am trying not to panic or get too freaky, I have lots of hair.....but I do contemplate on the fact that hair is coming on out and is new hair coming on in? I followed Nancy Gal from Oregan's advice (over fifty forum) and got the hair cut so that when the new hair grows in my head won't be too fuzzy.
Good luck to us all. We are melting and the process affects many parts.
My doctors said the hair loss is due to the surgery and the rapid weight loss. In time it will stop. Sooner than later people

Happy women and thankful for this journey!
Brenda,
Mine started to really come out recently too and I have a lot of hair, but I notice it more now. I went and bought GNC hair and nail vitamins that were recommended by someone on this site, they have biotin and other things that are good. I hope they work, but as the others before said, it will be back. I had a major hair loss after a tubal pregnancy that ended up in a procedure that I had to have anesthesia for. My hair did grow back, so for now I will pray too much doesn't come out. I am trying to up my protein intake as well.
Love,
Fran
Well, this is one area a 'sista' can't contribute. I have a head full of 'natural', unpermed hair... 8 years worth! Nothing is commin' out of this nappy stuff! On top of this bush, are micros (extentions/ braids) which cost about $250 per sitting. I wish this stuff would start fallin out.... I dare it!
Just buy some hats, and be happy. It is better to be 'bald' than 'big' and unhappy, right?
It will grow back.... by then, you'll be 100# down, with a head full of new hair. . . (these days, they make the most beautiful, funky wigs, and hats... even the scarfs are cute for the weekend)!
Bald is sexy!
....Still got all mines... and more (at least what I pay for at the store)
Vera, Encourager!
OMG...Brenda so am I, My Dr. says you can use the nioxin shampoo and the biotin but in all reality...you can not stop it or prevent it. Our hair will start growing back at around three months...eeeerrrrrgggg!!!! That's the price I guess for having the GB...I'd rather be bald than fat any day...
Smile and be Happy...
