Plateau Hell!
Dianne, you need to really up your calories women. My weight management doctors and the nutritionist say we need 900-1100 calories per day. We need 70-90 grms protein, 100 gms carbs at least, and 64+++ water. You will experience a weight loss if you up your calories. Your body has many ways to keep itself from starving. By limiting your calories so severly you are making your body protect itself and not loose muscle or fat. By upping your calories and proteins you will help and make your body loose the fat and not the muscle. Watch and see the scale move.

Dianne,
Hang in there girl. I hit a 6 week stall in which I only lost about two pounds or so. It finally broke this weekend. Just stay the course, exercize and eat right. I've gone from a 20 to a 14. I lost 4 pounds this weekend. It's very normal. During this time is when I lost the inches. Our bodies just have to play catch up. Hang in there!

Hi Diane,
I am 3 months out, and I have hit my first plateau. (Which was when I found this website). I was str8 trippin! I thought I wasn't going to lose anymore weight. One week, I didn't lose any weight at all, the next I lost 3lbs (feeew!) then the next week I gained 2lbs.....I am completely frustrated. I am trying to tell myself it's just 'water weight gain'.....I won't know now how it's going until 4/1. I don't own a scale (weigh myself @ work 1x week) and I am keeping it that way. If I had a scale in the house I'd be on it EVERYDAY. Not that I take joy in everyone elses frustrations with the plateau, but I was soooo glad to know I wasn't alone! Keep your head up girl! Your definately not alone!
God Bless You,
Amy
I am 14 weeks out and have hit several plateaus. This last one has lasted for about 2 weeks now. Everyone at work keeps telling me that I look like I've lost more weight. I have gone from size 28 pants to size 18 pants. I'm liking that!! I remember another plateau that lasted for about a week. I thought I was the only one this was happening to. Wow what a relief to know I'm not. I love this website!
