Plateau Hell!
I'm nine weeks out. I hit a plateau weeks 6 and 7. Finally lost some weight(4 lbs) in week 8, and now I'm at week 9 and again no weight loss. I'm taking in 60+ grams of protein, 70 oz of water/crystal light, 800 calories or under, and all necessary vitamins. Exercise is hard due to health restraints, but I get in at least 20 minutes on my "new" treadmill, although it's not the fastest speed on the machine, by any means. I can tolerate all meats, (so I should quit whining right) but maybe that's a curse. I'm frustrated, and now depression is taking over. I know people have plateau's but not a second one within a week of another one!
Help if you have advice.
Dianne
HI Dianne, I am 12 weeks out and I have gone through a plateau or two myself. Not to worry our bodys will do that from time to time to give our bodies a chance to catch up and lose those unwanted INCHES...You know what I mean? What ever you do don't get discouraged or depressed...you did this to rid your body of the unwanted weight and health problems, RIGHT? Try doing some chair exercises using only 2 lb weights or using the pool is even better( water arobics ). This will make you burn unwanted calories fast.
I wish you all the best and if you have any ???'s please feel free to contact me anytime.

Thanks Missy,
I'll go buy some 2 lb weights. I have ordered a strength resistance with rubber bands tape and it's on its way. You can do half sitting down, half standing. I'll try to stay upbeat. But I feel my "honeymoon phase" is slipping away, and it's only going to be worse after that. I need to move more!
Congratulations on your weight lose,
Dianne
Dianne, You're not alone. My weight has fluctuated within five pounds all month. I'm convinced that this is my body's way of saying. "Whoa, give me a minute to adjust." Had it not been for this message board, I would have thought I was the only person who had such a long plateau. So many of us are experiencing multiple or extended plateaus, must be how this WLS pattern works. You think? Lose, adjust.. Lose, adjust.. adjust again? Hang in there, next month should get better.

Hi Dianne,
I'm there too. I'm 3 mos out and have lost 61 lbs but for the last 2 or 3 weeks it seems like I'm at a stand still. I was told that my body is just catching up. So I'm still working out everyday,it has been a push to make my self work out everyday but I do it. So I'm told it will get better so we will just have to wait it out. Don't give up because even if the ponds don't chance right a way the inches do. That keeps me going. I hope I was a help to you...
I'm battling a worse plateau. I had a couple of setbacks, with wound infections and a perforated bowel, but, My weight loss has come to a screeching halt. In fact, I've gained 2 lbs this week. I've just started walking some. But, I'm still so weak and eating is difficult. I have one good day then 2 bad ones.
We've done this for a lifetime of healthy living. Our lives are going through hell. Our bodies believe we're starving. I trust that this, too, shall pass.
Good luck Dianne, I'm there with ya, girl.
Karen
Good luck to you too Karen!
I guess we have abused our bodies for such a long time, it must be in shock screaming "what are you doing to me now."
I'm looking for a weight loss this week. I've read all my replies, and am going to actually increase my calories. I think maybe I am throwing my body into starvation mode, making it hang on to this ugly fat.
