Hey Linda, I am also 3 months post op and I can't see a change either. May I suggest you take a picture of yourself and compare it to a picture of yourself pre op. Let me know if that helps. [email protected]

Thanks for the reply. I am going to start taking pictures. Someone even told me today that I was looking good and my shirt was too big. I am enjoying the compliments.

Hi Linda...I keep a before picture of myself on my bathroom mirror. Then when I can't see the difference or just feel "down" I look at that smiling lady with the round face and feel better! It really works!!! I'm down 65 pounds and starting to look in my daughters closet for clothes................. Hi Dee, Nice to see a almost neighbor!!! I'm in Northfield.... I had surgery at St. Vincents.......... Hugs , Judy

HI Linda, I think maybe all of us experience what your experiencing. I can't see it that much in myself either. And even though the people that are close to me tell me how much I've lost it doesn't really sink in until I run into someone who hasn't seen me in a while. I have went from a size 20 to a size 14. I had my sugery 12/27/04 and mine is coming off slowly. The pounds are anyway. Even my doctor thinks so and that gets me worried sometimes. But like most of the others have said , you get periods that the scale just doesn't move, but then it will move again after awhile. I gave most of my old cloths away to my daughter and other family members. And I went shopping and even bought a few things that was on sale that was still too small for me. But recently I went through my new things and I actually fit into some of the smaller ones. That is when my mind did a happy dance. I was in shock that I could actually fit into them. I think that it is just something that is hard for our brains to catch up with the weight loss because it is coming off so quickly. And like others have told you, I believe once we settle down and get farther along in our journey that the pace will slow down and our minds will have a chance to catch up with what size we actually are. God Bless you and Have a Blessed Easter. NannaS

The psychological effects of this type of weightloss is devistating... especially if you haven't prepared yourself, mentally. Sometimes I look in the mirror and can't see anything different... not until I look into my closet, or someone asks, 'how much have you lost'. I think it will take some time for us all, Linda, because it is only 3 months of changes. Keep up the good work, though! Vera,

Thanks to everyone for their postings, suggestions, and encouragements. I am trying the pictures. This weekend was really awesome and I am starting to see the changes. It made a big difference when I could fit into size 16. No more women size clothes! I am now 1/2 way there - 55lbs down and 55 to go! Of course, I have not checked with the Doctor yet on what Goal he wants me to be. Thanks again to everyone. This is an awesome site. Linda
