Help!
I had my surgery on December 27, 2004 . I started out at 330lbs. First week I lost 12lbs. From that time I have had one fill of 1cc and the last was 1/2cc. I have lost 6 additional lbs since second fill. Am I expecting to much to soon cause I would have thought I would have lost more by now.
I eat a lot of chicken, vegetables, and seafood. I stay away from sugar, sweets, bread, rice, and some pasta. I work out three times a week. I have finally found a protein shake I like and I have been drinking one a day because I was feeling tired all the time. I take my vitamins and calcuim chews also.
Am I expecting to much to soon?
Any suggestions?
Cristie
Actually 12pounds sounds okay. Remember that its not all about the numbers as it is about the inches. Also, remember you won't be losing as much as people that have done other forms of Weight Loss Surgery. Either way, the Lap Band is just like being on a regular healthy diet. Only difference is that the band is suppose to restrict the amount that you would normally eat. Sort of like having a small pouch (without the actual cutting)
I'd defitnetly talk to your surgeon/nutritionist see what they have to say.
Or go to the LapBand Forums, where people like you, have undergone this procedure.
Good Luck to you,
Gracie
Your better off going to the Lap band forum and asking them.
