Things are looking up

HURRAY!! I think upping Ron's Duragesic patches from one to two helped him. We upped that on Friday and yesturday he started feeling better. Last night he was eating and walking around. This morning he is 95% back to his old self. He wants to eat non stop to make up for the month of not eating. I'm hoping the pain stays at base for some time so our lifes can get back to normal some what. Thanks everyone for caring and being here for me. Now maybe I can get back on track with taking care of myself. My lips are so dried out and cracked from lack of water and not eating properly, it's awful. I did shed one pound Hugs Donna 338/249 -89

Hi Donna, I understand what severe pain can do to the person, and to the loved ones in a family. God bless you and Ron and I too will pray that the pain patches relieve his pain. I am so happy that he is feeling better and starting to eat again. But now you need to take care of you. Be kind to yourself during this time and please get in your water and protein and vitamins everyday. We all care about you both. Mary Salmon

Donna, so happy for you and yours that the pain is less. Now as one care giver to another, take care of yourself. It is OK to be selfish and give to you. I know for me this has always been a difficult thing to believe. But you must try and put yourself first. Drink and eat better and you will feel better and be able to give even more of yourself. Thank you Monica I'm going to call my PCP and get in for a check up and blood work just to be on the safe side as I know I have not been eating and drinking properly. We saw a surgeon about Ron's condition and there might be hope but we go back on April 8th and that's when they make the decision. Upping Ron's pain meds. have helped a lot but being a typical male he is bleeding it for all he can get He can get around and do for himself when nobody is home but once me or my son walk through the door it's.
