3 mo. Check up
Dear Friends,
I had my 3 month post-op check up in Indy yesterday.
The good news is that I have lost 52 pounds since surgery and 61 pounds that I lost before = 113 in total. I have 87 pounds to go.
The bad news is I have a very painful ulcer in my tiny pouch/stomach. My doctor put me on 2 prescriptions for it and she is hoping this will take care of it. If it doesn't then I'm looking at that ulcer being cut out of my tiny pouch/stomach. I am now on a bland diet for at least 2 months.
More good news, because of how much I exercise each day they moved me up to eating 6 times a day, 4 oz meals, 100 g of carbs, 75 g of protein, and between 1200 to 1400 calories a day. Thank you to everyone who advised me to do this 2 weeks ago. You really are a great bunch of people.
That is about all the good news I have for now. Email me when you can. I love to hear from you.
Have a Happy Easter!

Hi Missy,
I ride a recumbant bike nearly every day at the highest resistance. I ride between 30-70 minutes and burn up 450-1000 calories a day.
I also go to the Swonder Fitness Center at least 3 days a week to use the weight equipment. I was told by a trainer to go very slow when lifting weights, I mean in slow motion.
I got a pair of old fashioned roller skates and as soon as it warms up a bit I'm gonna try them out around my neighborhood.
If you or any one else has exercising tips I'd love to read them too.
Have a Happy Monday

Hi Jamie,
I have been told that ulcers are caused by viruses but the doc thinks this was brought on by stress.
On exercising I ride the recumbant bike nearly everyday at the highest resistance for between 30-70 minutes which I can burn 450-1000 calories.
I also go to Swonder Fitness Center to use their weight machines. I was told by a trainer to lift the weights very very slow.
If you have any more info on ulcers or exercising I'm open to answers or suggestions.
Have a great day!
