RETURNED TO WORK AND....Thanks for your advice Family!!!

Today was a good day. I returned to work today and it was ok because everyone was so surprised to see how much weight I have lost. I got flowers, baloons, candy, and so much love! I also returned to birthday gifts... Bath and Body and Gift Certificates for clothes! Wow, how did they know I needed clothes! LOL... So many were into how wonderful my skin was, and I can can even CROSS MY LEGS! We had a big board meeting, and so far, I have been given new duites, and I am happy about that, because I was board prior to leaving for surgery. All the coming and going will start again, but I know it is adding to my daily exercise. I kept to myself a bit, but it was because I wanted to see reaction, which was wonderful. Everyone was so welcoming. I am praying to God to bless me with a higher paying job... I mean, I do get paid quite, quite well, but I need MORE! Definately, a few were reserved, mainly the Managers, because, as a larger woman, I was the MOTIVATOR, and now that I am loosing weight, I think I am feared, or maybe I am/will intimidate the Managers with my PhD, and aggressiveness... not much of a Motivator, hugh. I will be more aggressive, and getting so much attention. It is not something planned, but I do believe that God has something special for me. I love working with people, and I want to make more of a difference in the lives of others. I have so much energy, and now that I am back to work, I know I will loose so much, and tone up, at the same time. So thanks for everyone who 'talked' to me... it is so appreciated. Vera, I'm so happy for you that your first day back went so well. It can be so hard to walk back in after being off for so long. Be strong and be the person that you are and don't worry about others. You are a wonderful person and people know that. I've said a little prayer for you with the better paying job. Vera, I knew you could do it! You are a motivator. I am like a kid in candy store with all of these beautiful women out here on this web site. You know I am looking for a new girlfriend right? well, this is the right place. everyone is losing so much, and we can all thank you alot. you are the best!!! Everyone will agree with me you will see.. Actually all of the people on here on very nice and "real" too. I hope god continues to bless us all..

Vera, I had no doubts that you return to work and blow the socks off your co-workers. Look what you have achieved in 3 months. Of course they were going to be surprised, inquisitive, wondering, and happy for you. Yes jealousy is an ugly beast. I have read so many posts about how people are viewed or treated after they have lost weight. Relationships change and morph into new arrangements. You, we all will learn who are true friends are with this journey. Taking control of ones life is very empowering and many people are scared of this empowerment. Vera you are a powerful women and people will just have to adjust and accept the new Vera or move out of the way. Take care of Vera and let the others find their paths when confronted with the new improved Vera women. Can you come to the OH convention in NJ in May. Many of us on the over fifty forum are going, we are a great group of women and men. Lots of people are coming from all over the country to meet, greet, have fun, learn, laugh, cry, and grow. Monica

Congrats on your return to work! It is a great feeling. My return a couple weeks ago was great. I had missed all those new babies coming into the world. I'm glad that I work with a great team of professionals. No one knows I had surgery, and people told me I was looking great. Of course, I use the gym at work sometimes, so people know I'm defitnetly working my ARSE off and eating right. Your a beautiful woman and once you hit goal, everyone will be "HATING" on you.
