Ok, I hear you all... December is a tough time, financially, family wise and work/school wise. Like many of you, I will be traveling (to Ghana), and my semester will end 1 week before Christmas (PhD in Education, remember)? I am trying to get this started BEFORE I get back in full-swing working... then, it will just get lost in the shuffle. So, Crew.... THANKS TO THOSE WHO E-MAIL AND RESPONDED.... I think Ron has a wonderful idea. Since time will be limited, maybe we should try to meet in Las Vegas in January. The fares will be cheap, packages will be abundant after Christmas, and if we start planning now, we can add on a few things (i.e., a show, buffet - tour, etc.). The best times to go (cheapest) is usually a Sunday - Thursday... or of course, we can do a Thursday-Sunday, for a few bucks more. Or, we can start planning an all inclusive Cruise for the same amount of time and money. The sooner we start planning, the better. There are 3 days to the Bahammas, 5 days to Jamaica, and 7 days (although this may be toooo long), to multiple destinations. Prices are cheapest BEFORE May, so if we start planning NOW, our deposits will be around $150 down, up until 45 days BEFORE we actually cruise! So sweet! So, I need you guys to vote on two things: 1) December or January (give best dates) 2) Las Vegas or a Cruise (name a place) Remember, nothing has been set, or planned, which is why I am asking for DECEMBER 04' REUNION COMMITTEE VOLUNTEERS. The Tasks Teams will include: 1) Member Info Coordination 2) Hotel Coordinator 3) Flight Coordinator (city-to-city information) 4) Cruise Coordinator (I'll do this) 5) Special Event Coordinator 6) ... anything that may come up Coordinator If you are interested, and have expertise in Planning, it will help, because I am sure a few more Coordinators may/may not be needed. Also, we will deal directly with a Travel Agent, who will collect all funds, so the matter of TRUST and SECURITY, will nto be an issue. THE EARLIER THE BETTER! WE WILL BE DOING THIS GUYS, BECAUSE WE DESERVE IT, SO PLEASE VOTE! I am so eager to meet each of you, and I hope you place some importance on us meeting, to be inspired beyond our 1 year WLS birthdate. Love you all! ... get inspired about this guys, PLEASEEEEE! :soul: Vera, December Crew Motivator

Hey Vera, I haven't been around the boards in a while because my son has been in the hospital. Seems like I missed a lot. Happy belated birthday. Glad to hear you celebrated in style. I think a reunion vacation is a great idea. Count me in. After the holidays would be a lot better for me. Before Christmas is just too hectic with the kids. Both Vegas and a cruise sound great. I do like the cruise idea though because it's all inclusive. If you need help planning, I would be more than happy to help, but I have no official planning skills. Melissa

Vera!!!, The cruise sounds like the ticket for me!!! January would work the best, Christmas is too hectic and no mula. I'm not a great planner or originizer, but just head me in the right direction and look out. Come on everyone this is a fantastic idea, would really love to meet you all. 333/280/150

Hey Vera, I like Vegas - we could definitely get a good price when we get a good size group. Fran

My vote: JANUARY (second week - or MLK weekend - for a long weekend?) in VEGAS! I am in Los Angeles, so I get to Vegas quite often. I would be willing to be the Hotel Coordinator. I will try to be more faithful about Checking the board, but can always be reached via email: efl.wls "at" nj2la.com Thanks! Elisha 219/177.5/???

Vegas works for me, I think it would be more cost effective then a cruise. With the cruise there is airfare, transportation to the port and then the cost of the cruise itself. Whereas Vegas can be done rather inexpensively and there will still be lots to do and see. As I'm in California, either one would work for me in January... Jen

Ok, so far, the feedback is great! Lets keep this vote going, and if you are reading this, be sure to mention it to your fellow December Board, and ask them to vote as well. Again, I'll keep checking and I hope everyone is counted! Thanks! Vera

Hi Everyone, January say the 2nd or 3rd week would be best for us. My vote is for a 3-4 day cruise. I think we would have more time to visit and get to know each other and of course celebrate our 1 year Anniversaries in style. Mary Salmon -61 before surgery -52 after surgery

That might be an idea. They have weekend or long weekend cruises to Encinada, Mexico (from the So Cal area). That could be fun. Haven't gone on one of these cruises yet. Elisha (although I still vote for vegas!)

Hi! I vote for January! You all decide cruise or Vegas. For me the trip to Vegas would be cheaper because I only have to pay for airfare there and then expenses and hotel, etc. If we do a cruise, I have to fly to the cruise and then pay for the cruise, but it is all inclusive as well, so..whatever you all decide as long as it is in January...count me in! I'll help wherever I can. Love, Fran
