DECEMBER 2004 REUNION CRUISE.... (Planning Committee Please)

Ok Everyone, as you can see, I am still in the traveling mood! Well, I'm back... done crying and in the mood to plan something special for our 1st Annual December 2004 WLS Reunion. I am thinking that since we are all about 3 months out, (or at least everone will be on 3/31), that we should use the next 9 months planning and organizing a special event for us to meet/greet and show off! I am thinking maybe a cruise in December, or January, to mark the ocassion. What do you think? I figured a cruise will suffice for lodging, food, entertainment, AND a wonderful destination, all inclusive, of course. We can pick a 3, 4, 7, or 10 day cruise, whatever we vote on as feisable for everyone. Cruises are inexpensive, and the SOONER we plan, the more time we will have to pay! I hope I am not the onloy one who wants us to do SOMETHING to mark the ocassion, besides sit behind the computer and say 'HAPPY ANNIVERSARY'! What do you think? COME ON, PLEASE POST YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS. Vera, You need to start working girl. You still have the Travel bug with you Unfortunately, my vacation time has been taken up. I'm taking three weeks in the next couple weeks for my trip to mexico/canada. The remaining week, I leave for emergencies. Either way, I'll celebrate with you guys..SPIRITUALLY. Unless, you do this by Jan. 06. Then I'd have my vacation time all over again?? Oh and Yea u did mention the board, but I recall you saying our surgery board. Rebecca, don't worry about the expensive time... because the earlier we plan, the more time everyone will have to make payments. Little by little! Gracie, I understand. Have a wonderful time. I'd love to participate! Just... I also have no free time off from work, and Dec 21st was my surgery date. I took off during the holidays 3 months ago, I feel like I need to offer to work for the next holidays. Perhaps doing it in January AFTER the holidays are done? And yes, like some others, I need more time to save up the money. This surgery has broken me financially. But, I'd love to meet everyone and get to know you.

I am always up for a cruise! December is going to be a tough time for most people to get away, but January might be more do-able. Then there is also the issue that this December crew is spread out across the US, so where would we depart? Anyways...I'm game! Jen

Vera I think this sounds great. However for me December and January are very bad months to think about travel. I am sure you and the others can put together a super trip. Enjoy the trip and the planning. Monica
