13er's where are you?
Hey my fellow Decemberians!
Just a quick update on my way out the door to celebrate my 9th wedding anniversary.
I had my 3 month check-up on March 10th. I can't hardly believe it when I say it, but I am down 66.8 pounds! And the icing on the cake is that I am finally in the 200s - 293.2 to be exact. And I have dropped to the morbidly obese category instead of super morbidly obese!
My 9th wedding anniversary is Wednesday, the 16th, so hubby and I are off to some honeymoon suite nearby for a three-night get way , but I just had to share my good news with you all.
Due to being switched to a new department, I have not been able to view and post like usual, but I think of you all often.
Please check in other 13ers!
Happy Anniversary and congrats on the 66.8 lb loss.
I am 3 mos post-op today. I am currently stalling at a 51 lb loss. I wi**** was more but I am not complaining because without this surgery I probably would be still gaining instead of losing. My lab work is finally showing some normal levels instead of everything being elevated and I know as long as I keep doing what I am supposed to I will continue to lose weight and another positive note is that I had to quit smoking to have this surgery and so far I have not resorted back to it and it has been six months. I also joined the gym about a month ago so I am hoping that will help speed up the loss. I know what you mean about finally being in the 200's. I was happy to see those numbers as well. I am 283.4 according to my scale and no longer considered smo.

I am 3 months out and 58 pounds down. I have stalled a bit, but my doctor thinks I am retaining water. I am thankful the weight loss slowed down. I couldn't keep up for awhile. I am no longer Morbidly obese, either! That is something I am very proud. And finally, finally, finally, I feel back to my normal self. After two surgeries and weeks in the hospital I am now back at work full time and enjoying the activities I used to. Here's to the next three months...
Congratulations on your weight loss and your anniversary. I too am a "13er." Like you, 12/13/04. I have lost 65-69 pounds. My scale isn't as accurate as yours. It can fluctuate quite a bit just getting off and on it, so I just count every 5 pounds lost (when I'm sure that it's gone forever). My surgeon said that at 6 months I should have lost 50% of my excess weight and I only have 5-10 pounds to go to make that goal. I sure hope I can continue to be on track. I have been walking 60-90 minutes a night. It's so exciting. Sometimes I feel like I'm behind the average in weight loss, but it doesn't matter as long as the weight comes off eventually. Thanks for sharing.
