Hello everyone I am new to this site but find it very helpful. I had my surgery on 12-9 and I am having the same concern the scale just stopped going down....maybe 1 or 2lbs for a week. Its been 3 mos. post op; do you all think this is normal? I have lost 51 pounds since surgery date. Also, has anyone had a problem with a bowel movements? I may not have one but every two days. Any insight would be appreciated.
Girl, stop comparing yourself ( I know its hard not to do) but your going to drive yourself . We all have noticed our weight slowly subsiding. Your eating dense food, your starting to move on from the initial shock of your surgery. Relax. This is all normal. From now on, your average weightloss should be about 10-15pds a month. Maybe less maybe more, depending on how much you had to lose. Relax you'll be okay.
What I do, is "Jump start" my loss again. I increase my protein, fluid intake and exercise". If you aren't exercising faithfully, that could be your main problem.
Good Luck to you Vero,

Hi Veroninca...
I know exactly how you feel. I lost a whole lot early on, and the about 5 weeks ago, I hit my 1st plateau. It lasted for 3 weeks and I didn't lose a lb. Since then I have lost maybe 4 or 5 lbs. While it is very frustrating, I think it happens to us all. But also I have been losing inches even when I haven't been losing lbs. So it kinda makes up for the scale not moving.
BTW, keep up the great weightloss. 44 lbs is nothing to get upset about thats for sure!!!

I think our bodies are adjusting. My scales haven't moved in three weeks. Am I concerned? yes. Maybe I need to eat more protein and drink more water. I exercise 3x a week not sure if I need to increase it or not. Mainly, I think our bodies just need time to adjust.
I went for my three month check-up yesterday and I'm down 50.5 (Curves scale -52 lbs)
For that, I'm thrilled!!
