Vegas at 3 months post-op.
Hi everyone, I just thought I'd post a little note about how I did Vegas for my 3 month anniversary/28th Bday.
One of the biggest problems I had was getting enough water in. It is so dry out there and with all the walking, you tend to get a little dehydrated. On top of tha****er costs a fortune on the strip.
I also celebrated with a few vodka martinis (ok'd by my doctor). I was not a light-weight before, but a couple of martini's on top of the Rio at the VooDoo lounge and I was smashed!
Eating wasn't too difficult. Ate at the Buffet at the Palms Hotel. Only $6.99 for lunch and I just filler my plate with proteins and ate very slowly. Ordered a few salads from room service during the course of the 3 days and 1 night went up to the VooDoo cafe and ordered the seafood sampler to share with my boyfriend. It had blue crab, shrimp, lobster, oysters and oyster shooters. It seemed to all go down ok, but then I started feeling sick. The feeling passed and everything was ok.
I posted this because I was seeing a lot of people complain that they couldn't travel because they could never find anything to eat, etc. I had a blast, ate healthy enough, got a lot of excersise walking around the strip, and had fun drinking (I use to have the worst burning whenever I drank before surgery, no pain at all anymore). We also won $1500 playing slots and went to see Cirque Du Soleil at Treasure Island.
Thanks to anyone *****ad this, I am 3 months post-op and have lost 50lbs. I am 75 lbs from my own personal goal.
