Brooke, Your doing great. I'm out a week before you and I am also down 54 pounds. Like you I am tired all the time. I haven't lost more than about a pound a week in over a month. It does get frustrating. Just remember that we are in it for the long haul. Hang in there. Candy 266/212/130

Hang in there Judy, We are pretty close in weight and surgery date and have lost the exact same. I'd say then we are pretty much on track and average for this surgery. That's 54 pounds that we don't have to see again if we change our life style! Hugs, Candy 266/212/130

i'm down about 75 since dec 1st. I'm kind of bad at this- I don't regularly excercise- what i do is walk around and do things more.. and at a faster pace... and moe of it. As for food I don't plan- I wing it! But I am vey careful about what goes into my body. I look at the fat content and sugar content before I even open my mouth. As for the scale- the only time I hop on it is if I need a pick me up- like if I have a bad day at the office- I'll go home and hop on the scale and look at the loss and just feel better. It doesn't matter to me if I lose wieght today- what matters is I am losing weight everyday in some small way. When I have a low-energy day I think about the crappy, crappy no-energy days I had before December 1st- and I think- well I'm a heck of a lot better off today than I was the last day of november- so if I don't feel perky today, okay- it'll come back tomorrow. as for head hunger-I sip ice water and eat ice cubes.... & I started smoking again. For me, for now it helps with the hand-to-mouth thing. I hate myself for resorting to smoking, but it sure beats over-eating. I figure when I have a better grasp on the finer points, THAN I'll work on the hand-to-mouth and head-hunger.. and tan at long last be ready to give up ciggy's. the only suggestion I offer is this- don't beat yourself up and only compare before surgery to today- not yesterday and today. Its your body and your life- it'll all work out in the end.

Brooke, Candy, You're both at a plateau and its discouraging. But, I'm not sure if you know what all I've been through. I've been at a plateau for 2 weeks, myself. But, you know what? If I didn't lose another lb, I'd be MUCH happier being the -67 lbs I am, than if I'd never had this surgery. I'm not going back. I can only go forward. I haven't been able to exercise, I had a second surgery and serious complications, but... when I can, I hope I have the energy and dedication. Lets all keep encouraging each other. We're in this together. And, united, we can do anything.

Hello Brooke I understand how u feal and everybody else here I had my surgery on Dec 30th I have lost close to 60 pds I hit a plataue my scales didn't move for almost 3 weeks, I was ready to take a hammer to them! LOL But I feal so much better i can say that my energy is great! The only thing I can say is that I read on another board to make sure that u eat 6 meals a day and that u get all of your water in. I haven't started exercising it took me 5 weeks after my surgery to get my energy back bec of the blood that I lost. No matter how much your losing we all will do Great, I am like you also I wanted the weight off yesterday! Hang in there sweetie! Best wishes to You! Heather Sizemore 12/30/05 256/203/135
