Has your energy level gotten any better?
I am so happy my energy level is through the roof on most days. I am still walking on the treadmill til the weather breaks, so I can go outside and go for a walk around the park. since my surgery I have only lost 69 pounds, but I feel great, starting to look great too. A guy from work, whom I haven't seen since returning to work 2 weeks ago, said I look like a different person and then asked me out. I just smiled, said thank you, and told him I was a "lifer" have been for 12 years. It's Kind of funny how peple who didn't take the time to speak to you when you were fat, now want to have "water cooler chats" when ever they see you.
Mine has increased greatly too. I have now finally joined the gym, and with yesterday being my very first day there, I did 30 minutes of swimming. This is pretty good for me, since I haven't done much more than walking and my recumbant air bike since surgery. Going back again today to swim, and tomorrow is my orientation to all of the weight training equipment.
I am gonna try to get in atleast 5 days per week at the gym. Maybe that can get my weight loss moving better again. I'm not complaining about 62 lbs, but it sure has drastically dropped in the last month.

My energy level is acceptable, but not through the roof. I could take a nap anytime. My tolerance for exercise has increased such that I can work out for 1-1/2 hrs. My limiting factor is joint pain. I still hate every minute that I do exercise (I guess because of the amount of pain it generates), but I do it because that was part of the deal with having the surgery. I've lost 33 lbs.

Hi I had my surgery on 12-7-04 with Dr. Kerlakian here in Cincinnati, Ohio. My engery level has not increased at all since surgery. In fact I went for my 3 month check-up and told my doctor of my concerns. I have lost 56 lbs since surgery and just don't have that exciting feeling about loosing the weight as I had in times before when I lost weight. Something is going wrong with me with my mental status. I was refered to see someone and hopefully things will turn around. All did I mention I hate these winter months. It has been a real cold and gloomy winter here in Cincinnati not much sun shine. Has anyone else felt this way.

Well, that hasn't happened to me yet, but I'm looking forward to it! As for energy, I have been feeling pretty much the same, but someone said the other day that I was walking really fast! I DO have more energy during the day, but I still crash at night. The question is why? It could be the 50+ pounds, it could be the vitamins (I took none before) or the nutritious food I'm eating. I have to admit that I'm not exercising at all, so it isn't that!

thats funny- I went to lunch at work this week with a friend. On the way back to the office she got mad and told me I was going too fast for her to keep up! I was only walking at a normal pace- and get this- she's a size 6 and in good physical shape- and she's complaining that I am going too fast (and I'm still in a size 22!)
I crash at night, too. I think its because of all the energy I'm going thru in the run of a day now... Now I climb the stairs in the subway instead of taking the escalator... small things make it work..
I'm not excercising, either.... so... I hear ya, sisiter!
